Answer:	Netflix and Plex are generally okay, but I get stuttering on Amazon probably 50% of the time which is unbearable. I would guess that this unit has a weak CPU that struggles to handle some Amazon encodes @ 1080p. I don't have this issue at all with a Roku 3 and that unit feels much snappier overall.

Answer:	Generally, the player takes what's on the disc and makes a screen presentation that will be acceptable. If the disc is "standard dots per inch" that's what ends up on the screen. No player can make display information that isn't on the disc. THIS player can interpret a blue ray 4K disc and put all the info on the screen. ( I personally do not own a blue ray 4k disc as of yet, but all my dvds look good on my 4K TV.) There are no switches needed.....it's all thankfully done electronically. JSM

Answer:	I also contacted Samsung support about the BD-HM57C and they state 5Ghz is only supported with an adapter as the "Built-In Wi-Fi" only has 2.4Ghz. This is very misleading as the outside of the box clearly states under "BUILT-IN Wi-Fi" that it supports both 2.4 and 5GHZ.

Answer:	My experience is that it works fantastic. I have a 4K TV and I think the image is even sharper when I stream through the player instead of directly through the tv. Some things to keep in mind though...your internet bandwidth may cause spotty performance if you have a slower connection and/or many devices are fighting for the bandwidth at the same time but that isn't an issue with the player. I would definitely recommend this bluray!

Answer:	It's only an upscaler. In my opinion, unless your 4K tv has HDR, a 4K disc player wouldn't improve the picture much over this.I tried the 4K player from Samsung.The movies appeared a little sharper on my television but that's all. For my television, the BD-J6300 was fine.

For others with this issue, here is amazon's list of compatible devices and features by brand and year: I made the unfortunate mistake a couple of years ago of purchasing a Blu-Ray device on amazon that didn't support CC of amazon prime streaming. :( Lesson learned! Always check the list of supported devices.

Answer:	The player does fine with the 4k labeled discs currently on the m are playing the at the 3840x2160. The HDR or enhanced colors are nice as well.

Answer:	As long as you have a receiver that will decode the ATMOS signal then it will work. The player will not decode the signal, it will only send it to the receiver to be decoded.

Answer:	Yes it will play 3D Blu Ray discs, however 3D Blu Rays will still need a tv that supports 3D to play them and most 4k tvs do not support 3D and the only reason the price is high on this player is beacause it plays Ultra HD BluRays that also require a 4k tv to show them. There are much cheaper options on players that play 3D BluRays. In other words if your 4k tv does not support 3D, being able to play 3D BluRays would not matter. And if you have a 1080p 3D tv then it would be better to buy a cheaper 3d BluRay player.

Answer:	Another problem people might run into and I hope people have done their research to play the ultra high-definition player you need to make sure that your 4K TV has a HDCP 2.2 (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) port. Not just HDMI 2.0. I got my UHD in the mail today and was very frustrated that I couldn't get anything higher than 1080p. my (un65hu7250) 4k Samsung TV. After a little research I found mine actually has one port that was not labeled as hdcp 2.2. HDMI 3 (MHL) Please review or find out if your 4K TV has this capability before purchasing this player. If you don't have this on your 4k TV you might as well be just be buying a $300 Blu Ray player because it'll only broadcast in the highest resolution which will be 1080p. Hope this helps some people. Answer:	You need to connect to the internet: (a) with a wired (LAN) connection or (b) with a wireless connection. Wireless connection needs a Samsung USB dongle, which is purchased separately. If you can afford a newer player, with wi-fi built in, that would be the way to go. I had the BD-D5500 with the wireless dongle and had lots of connection problems. If you cannot connect through the LAN port, with an internet wire, you are probably better off getting another unit. The BD-D5500 is outdated and faulty technology, IMHO, for wireless use.

Answer:	It will play non-3D discs as well as 3D. I don't own a 3D TV and it works on all of mine. It has HDMI, Component, and Composite connections so it should work on any tv.. It does not have Internet unless you purchase an optional USB dongle or use Ethernet wiring. I bought the dongle and it was a waste of money. I have never been that impressed with Smart DVD player or TV apps. Slow and outdated. Use Roku, Apple TV, etc. devices for the best smart apps.

Answer:	Well it depends, the extender is only a couple inches long so it depends how far back it is behind the tv. You may be able to get a hdmi to hdmi extender, since this fire stick plugs into the hdmi port. That may extend it further. Does your tv have a side hdmi port? That may also be a option.
