Answer:	Hi,You can't edit to only copy part of a disc. You will need to make a master disc with the parts you need in post production, then insert the desired partial copied disc into the reader to make that copy you needed/wanted. It will the copy entire disc of that partial and close the disc so it can be play on regular dvd player.

Answer:	I set my 8 cam system to record only when motion is detected and I can go back and view clips from a week ago. I imagine with a single terabyte drive you can get between 500-600 hours with the H.264 encoding. So long as its selective recording, such as motion detection, etc. For continuous 24/7 recording that you would probably want to add a 4 terabyte drive to achieve the estimated 600 hours that's advertised.
