The cameras my system came with have PoE cable coming off them, which is the same as Ethernet cable, the 'Po' I think stands for 'powered' ethernet, meaning the optional 12v plug need not be connected. I purchased the Zosi ZR-08RN system, 8-cameras connected by ethernet cable (PoE). If not sure, look at the pictures at the top of the description page.
