Answer:	Because to a great degree... they suck! They don't pick up movement coming directly at the camera... only movement from left to right or right to left. If you want to kill this system at night, just shine a flashlight at it. The view will go totally white and is worthless. I've got 6 of these around my house and they pick up next to nothing until it's too late.

Answer:	From the FAQ @ support.blinkhome.com I just purchased a Blink XT system will the Blink XT2 camera work with this? Yes the XT2 will work with your existing Blink System as it uses the same sync module. You can have up to 10 Blink devices per sync module as long as they are all within the 100ft operating range of the sync module in any direction. The cameras on the sync module can be in any combination.

Answer:	1 if they were to stream continuously the battery life would shorten significantly 2. The cloud records and saves any video streamed to it which is when motion triggered. You need an NVR to distinguish the motion sensing and start/stop recording within the stream. 3. This system and ALL the home security based camera systems are made in China. I'd be curious to know where the "cloud" servers are located.

Answer:	To the customer that says 2 yr battery life is absurd.... not really, depends on usage. This isn't a constant streaming/recording camera. I have the previious version Blink outdoor camera and the batteries have lasted 6 months already. In the location I have it, where the NSA can get the best view, it takes 3-5 video clips per day. I think the NSA tries not to use live view to deplete battery life or it becomes too obvious. I also have a variety of trail cameras, to be isolated from the NSA, with AA Lithiums taking anywhere from 0 to 200 photos per day and battery life is more than 2 yrs and counting. Just kidding about the NSA quips above.

Answer:	I can share what I am seeing in the Central Texas (Lake Travis) area. If I am in the house and attached to my router via 802.11 A/B/G/N/AC I am being routed through my local ISP to their server that starts a session over broadband to my system. No Telecom Data usage. If I am downtown in Austin and access the cameras via my phone that is connected via WI-FI, same scenario. If I switch my phone to ATT data mode meaning shut down the WI-FI and connect via the phone network you can watch your data usage with the ATT app explode. The phone to server hop is eating data but the system to their server connection remains on my home wired connection. It is scary how much data is transmitted so better be sure you understand this or have an unlimited data plan if you fire this up non WI-FI. Hope this helps. The system is great when accessed remotely, images just as clear and that explains the bite it is taking. Does not look like there is any compression being used just one big fat stream of data.

Answer:	60 ft. But you can get longer or shorter runs Sold separately I’ve even coupled 100 ft wires together but fed the power supply to the camera from a closer distance because of voltage loss due to the length of the long distance wire. A 100 ft distance generally responds very good if you don’t share the 12v supply adapter with other cams. I buy extra 12v 3A adapters and keep plenty of different length wires. They’re inexpensive and saves time for camera installations.

Answer:	Yes each camera can be set individually. I recall using drop down menu to select a camera number or to apoly setting to all. Also I believe the recording schedule can be set individually. Also the motion detection and the grid overlay can also determine if a camera will record. There is a setting for always recording in addition to record on motion detection.

Answer:	One powers the dvr. The other two power 4 camera each. There are 2 four connector pig tale that each plug into a separate power unit. I think the max frame rate is 25 fps. Not certain about the specs on the lenses.
