Answer:	You can absolutely screen mirror WITHOUT wifi. I tried to screen mirror with the roku, chromecast, our smart TVs and several other devices without a wifi connection with no luck. Unbelievably, the firestick allows you to screen mirror with nothing more than your phone and the Fire Stick. Hold down the home button until a prompt comes up allowing you to mirror your device. You don't need internet at all to mirror your device. I spent a year trying to do just that because we didn't have internet where we were. I would download movies and shows on our phone while in town where our phone had a signal then play them at home where we had zero service.
Question:	Does this allow for downloads from unknown sources
Answer:	Yeah, FireOS (Amazon's modified version of Android) does allow you to sideload apps from unknown sources. You can download any .apk file you want using any browser you want, and use any file manager you want to open and install it. If you happen to sideload an app not made for a TV, I recommend using a Bluetooth mouse to navigate it since d-pad controls aren't the best for mobile apps. Happy sideloading!

Question:	I currently have 2-smart hubs and 7 sensors a $360 investment that no longer works. now i have to spend another $240 to purchase the new hubs. why
Answer:	My AcuRite for some reasons, announced last year that they would no longer support the current smart hubs and as of 2/28/19 the old smart hub would no longer work. Their reasoning was customers wanted additional features that the current hub couldn't support, thus the hub has reached its end of useful life. They have not put out much info as to why the change other then what I stated, so I view their announcement with some skepticism.
Question:	Is the acurite access going to be on the market for a couple of years and then made obsolete like the smarthub
Answer:	Maybe true that the product had a 7 year span but Acurite sold these things up to the cut off date and did not bother to mention that they would be useless. I had mine about 8 months before it was 'bricked' . And contrary to their claims, I never received any notice of the shutdown. I recommend voiding this company at all cost.
Question:	How long will this one work before they discontinue support and force you to buy the "new and improved" version like they did with the smart hub
Answer:	Yeah pretty upset here. I just spent $80 for the smart hub about 3 months ago and now I’m forced to replace it because it’s not supported anymore. They offered me a lousy 20% if I buy it by 3/14/19 off the new one at $129.00, so about $26 off which still puts it at over $100. This is complete bull crap as someone else stated. I never had any issues with the old smart hub. Exactly as questioned, how long before the stop supporting this new one and force us to buy another new one? Not happy about this current situation AcuRite, you have many upset customers here.

Answer:	I don’t know about 2020 version, but I’ve been running 4 units for a year and a half without problems. Need to make sure WiFi is near and fresh Duracell batteries. Batteries were low but still worked. One unit in refrigerator, one outside, one inside, and one in well pump house.

Answer:	Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.

Answer:	I put mine on a pole in the middle of my back yard. It comes with a bracket that could be used to mount on a wood fence post.

Answer:	It does measure rainfall. Since I purchased that unit, I now own an AcuRite Atlas. In my opinion much less issues than with other units.
Question:	When I awake in the A.M. will this unit display the lowest temperature that we had at my location last night
Answer:	It will display the highest and lowest temperatures since midnight in addition to other data.
Question:	Will this station function ok in the winter? we can get a lot of snow and below freezing temperatures in upstate ny
Answer:	am in upstate New York as well. Actually almost closer to Canada and it has worked awesome! So awessome I got one for my parents as well. It gives information the local news doesn't have a clue, they're always off my at least 6 degrees and winds speed is an important factor with wind chill...i.e. it was -42* a few weeks ago for wind chill and with horses it's important to know these things...just be sure to spray the wind cups underneath with wd40 so they don't freeze after rain.

Answer:	It takes two AAA batteries which are not included. Just a caveat, the case to put the batteries was very hard to get off and I had to get a tiny screwdriver to pry it open. This is not always the case though, I have owned three remotes of this model (My dog thinks they are delicious)
