With a built-in speaker and microphone, the metal Patio Unit allows you to respond to calls from Room or Door Units, or page the system to request a response. To ensure your home's security and privacy, outdoor Patio Units do not provide room selection like the indoor Room Units do. In addition to providing basic intercom communication, the Patio Unit allows you to monitor (listen in on other intercom stations) or mute to prevent monitoring (by deactivating the speaker). Patio Units can also be temporarily disabled through indoor Room Units for added security and privacy. Up to eight intercom stations can wire into one 8-Location Distribution Module (sold separately), which is the central hub of the system. For example, if you are unregistering a secondary unit that has been assigned to channel 1, then on the Master, press 0 and 3 until you hear a tone, then press 1 seven times. You do not need to press any buttons on the secondary intercom. OPERATION - Press the CALL button first and then press the channel button that you want to communicate with . Press the CALL button to answer on another intercom to enter real-time two-way intercom mode. Press the CALL button again to end the call mode. |
