Answer:	FYI: I just received this item intending to check as airline luggage. Stated size is: Assembled Depth (in.)-34.25 in , Assembled Width (in.)-20.47 in, Assembled Height (in.)-18.9 in. Let's say 35"x21"x19". Which can be checked on the airline I am flying on (80 linear inches MAX). However... ACTUAL outside dimensions are: 37"x24"x23" (84 linear inches) and therefore CAN NOT be check as luggage on my airline (Sun Country). Disappointed!!!!

Answer:	The tower is its own tower. It will still work. I did not have internet when I first got the Simplisafe Original and it still dispatched the police to my location. You will need internet for the camera to work though. The system itself does not need internet or a telephone connection.
