| Answer: | I hate to say it, but it sounds like this contact is the reversed version of what your system is looking for. Am I understanding you correctly? You want the system to beep when the door opens, letting you know that someone is entering the home/office, correct? We have contacts that are reversed but that's very odd that your system would expect a reversed (Normally Open) contact. Also, are all three doing the same thing, or just one of them? The only systems that our tech team has worked on have been the more expensive commercial grade alarm systems so we wouldn't have any suggestions for "basic" systems. Having said that, pretty much any alarm system that allows for hard wired sensors will work with this PIR motion sensor. |

| Answer: | No, the measurements are NOT the same as the RING magnets. On the Ring site, the "Open Window Magnet for Ring Alarm " dimensions are listed as: 3.2 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.68 in. I ordered this replacement magnet from Amazon, and the dimensions are much smaller - the length is only 1.5", about half the length of a proper Ring magnet, and the rest of the dimensions are proportionally smaller as well. Aside from how it looks next to the Ring sensor, it must also be offset to one side, rather than being centered, in order to successfully trigger the magnetic sensor inside the Ring Contact Sensor. |
