Answer:	No. It connects to the Ring base station which must be connected to the internet. If you subscribe to the premium monitoring service and your internet service is lost, the base station will attempt to connect to the internet via cell service (AT&T) until your local internet service comes back. If you're like I am where there is no AT&T tower nearby the cell service won't work.

Answer:	I could get ring to work with my existing door, motion and glass break sensors. However for the powered sensors (motion and glass break) I used the old alarm system to power them and Ring Retrofit to monitor them. Might not work with all sensors, but it worked with mine. It would be nice if the Ring Retrofit had and option to provide power, but at least the workaround was not that hard.

Answer:	The Retrofit Alarm Kit is designed for two-wire zones (contact sensors). Four-wire zones are used for security devices that require a constant source of power (motion detectors). If you want to add any four-wire zones to the Retrofit Alarm Kit, you’ll need an appropriate power source, as this device is not designed to supply power to zones. Please keep in mind that your power source will also require a reliable battery backup. If the power goes out, the zone will no longer be monitored. Answer:	Yes, the PIR Motion Detector comes with a mounting bracket that can be used either flat to the wall or in the 90 degree corner. It also includes 3 tape strips and 4 screws for your choice of mounting. I used a couple of command strips to mount mine in case I wanted to relocate it after using it for a while. The command strips worked great as the unit is pretty light.

Wi-Fi Setting with smartphone

Turn on the Base Station (after beep sound), OR (Long press the SET button for 5 seconds, release the SET button when you hear 2 beeping sounds), now the base station has entered the Wi-Fi connection mode, the Red light is slowly blinking (2s/time).

Please change the EZ mode in the upper right corner to AP mode.

Make sure the host is plugged in and the red light is slowly blinking.

Pairing Contact Sensor & Motion Sensor

Separate the Contact Sensor or Wave your hand in front of the Motion Sensor, 1 beeping sound will be heard as a confirmation.

Pairing Remote Control

On the "Accessories" at the bottom of the APP, Tap Remotes, then tap + Add, then 1 beeping sound will be heard, Enter Remotes pairing mode.

PRESS any button of Remote Control, 1 beeping sound will be heard as a confirmation.

Troubleshooting (Sensors or Remotes NOT working properly)

Initialize the Base Station by Long press SET button for 10 seconds, release the SET button when you hear after hearing 5 beeping sounds in a row. This procedure will clear all the sensors, remotes, and Wi-Fi settings of the base station.

Answer:	Yes. There are various delays you can set via the "programming codes" listed in the manual. I know you can set an "alarming" delay (basically an entry delay). As for the other respondent that returned it because you can disarm without a code, that's the default behavior but can be changed using another "programming code" in the manual. Admittedly, the manual is not easy at all to understand but after a bit of tinkering, it looks to work like most other alarms except only requires $5/month text only service vs. $15-30 service to get notified about alarms. It was the only option that used 12v, GSM, and very little power and therefore I plan to utilize on my RV off of 12v battery power to protect it while stored.
