Answer:	That is a good question. I would almost be tempted to buy two and put them on both ends with that large of a pool. Our was an above ground pool (32 by 16) and we tied ours right by the ladder. It is super sensitive and would always go off when it rained hard.

Answer:	it comes with a long tether that can be easily shortened without cutting it, but you could let it float around without it. If it is free floating be sure it is alarming properly. Its alarm sensitivity is also very adjustable. Note: rain will also likely set it off.

Answer:	I believe it will work. Our cats, 10# and 11# both fell in and it went off. Also, my husband forgot it was in and just dangled his feet and it went off. We have been really pleased with it.

RECEIVER

Your receiver works with the pool alarm allowing you to monitor your pool from within your house. When the floating alarm is activated it sends a signal to activate the receiver.

Transmission Modes

The receiver has two modes of operation: Serial Number mode (SN mode) and ID mode. When the receiver is in SN mode it will accept the transmission of any Pool Patrol transmitter (this is the default setting). The serial number is common to all transmitters. When the receiver is in ID mode it will accept the serial number plus the ID number of the transmission. The ID number is unique to each transmitter.

RECEIVER PLACEMENT

It is best to place the receiver next to a window or wood door adjacent to the pool with-in 200 feet from the transmitter. Do not place the receiver near steel walls, cabinets, on or alongside an electrical appliance, such as a computer, or on a metal surface as this may affect signal reception. The pool alarm will not transmit its signal through the ground.

Murray's edge control is better ....

Answer:	They’re all the same product. The colors represent the different scents. I believe there are two different holds regular and extra. Otherwise, no difference. Only downside is it turns white after a day or two. I like others have recommended using a dark gel, or jam over it. It’s amazing for natural hair to hold it in place.

How to pair more remotes with your alarm?

The alarm and remote in each package have been paired off at the factory. But our products have super pairing function. An alarm can be paired with 8 remotes , and a remote can be paired 50 alarms.

1. Change to disarm mode by a PAIRED remote.
2. Press and hold paired remote's doorbell button(Ignore the door Dingdong)about 10 senconds, the alarm sounds Bi ..." to remind that is in learn mode.
3. Release the doorbell button.
4. Press the new remote's arm button, the alarm will sound two "Bi.. Bi.." to remind the learn code operation successful.
5. It is well done.

Answer:	The pool alarm is set off by the movement of the water. The tube is suggested to be adjusted to be 10cm (3.9") deep. If the water near the alarm is moved around that depth it will be set off. I would say yes the sucker can set off the alarm when in use. You would need to test with your specific pool to confirm if it is effected.

Assuming you have your power connected properly, here is my suggestion 1/ Press the "M" button on top, it usually turn the clock back on from instantly. 2/ If the display goes off every time after 30 second, it mean you are in "Power Saving Mode", to disable "Power saving mode", press "M" to Power on the unit. Press "Down" button once, the display will show either "ONSd" or "- - Sd". You can press "DOWN" button to selection between this two option. "ONSd" means Power saving mode is ON, and display goes off after 30sec. "- - Sd" mean Power saving mode is OFF, and display keep ON. Answer:	To Set / Turn on the Alarm, you can : 1. There is 3 alarm to set, press “M” on the top of the unit until you see A1 or A2 or A3. 2. For example, if I want to set my alarm on slot A1, press “M” couple time until I saw A1. 3. Now press and hold “M” for 3 second. 4. Now you can see the left of the : (Colon) is flashing, press “UP” or “DOWN” to select the current HOUR, and press “M” once to confirm your HOUR selection. 5. You can see the right of the : (colon) is flashing, press “UP” or “DOWN” to select the current MINUTES, and press “M” once to confirm your MINUTES selection. 6. How to Change Mode

4. Then quickly down and up the switch, you will hear "Di-Di-Di", the alarm is in Closing-door Alert. It sounds "Di--Di-Di" from 0dB-110dB when door opens.
5. Then quickly down and up the switch, you will hear "Dingdong" sound, the alarm is in Doorbell Mode. It sounds "Dingdong" when door opens.

Question:	Some devices with 9v batteries run at 5 volts and the input is 5 volts. Is the input 5 volts or 9 volts
Answer:	I would think that a 9 Volt lithium would be safer than an alkaline. These water detectors are supposed to signal low battery life. But you have to hear it and in fact it has to signal. The extra money for the lithium is worth it. There is no reason not to use lithium.
Question:	OK for septic sump tank? Will the bits of stuff interfere with the sensor? Will it be too caustic

Question:	How much current can the sensors take to turn on something external to the alarm? What voltage is the alarm's input so an external thing won't hute it
Answer:	I have owned my only 1 week. It’s a 9 volt battery and my guess depends on the quality of battery and how often it is triggered or alarm sounding. I would guess that you should test it regularly and replace it when the low battery alarm sounds or 1 year, whichever is shortest.
Question:	Does the float hang by the wire into the water tank or does it have to be secured to something
Answer:	There are 2 small metal nodes that you can see on the outside in the picture. When moisture connects the 2 nodes the alarm sounds. I test these devices with a moistened finger, not much water at all. Very high humidity can trigger them as well, that is, humidity above atmospheric norm.

How to change 4 modes

1. Turn off the alarm first. Place the main unit and the magnetic strip together.

2. Turn it on (upward), and you will hear "Di-Di" (default mode).

3. After hearing "Di-Di", quickly slide the switch up and down, you will hear a continuous tone of "Di..." and the alarm is in constant alarm mode.

4. Slide the switch up and down quickly, you will hear "Di-Di-Di" and the alarm is in the door closing reminder mode. When the door is opened, the sound "Di--Di-Di" is emitted from 0dB-110dB.

5. Slide the switch up and down quickly, you will hear a "dingdong" sound and the alarm is in doorbell mode. When the door opened, it made a "Dingdong" sound.
