Question:	can I install 2 . one on either end of a long driveway. 3 way capable
Answer:	These sensors will not work electrically like a 3 way switch. However, you can hook up more than one sensor to turn on a single light circuit. I have two sensors, one at the bottom of my entry stairs and one at the top. I wired them in parallel (black of both sensors get power from the same source, red from both sensors connect to the controlled light(s), and white of both sensors connected to a neutral. This does what I want. If I leave the house the upper sensor triggers and I have a lighted stairs. When I come home the bottom sensor triggers and I have a lighted stairs to the front door. As to timing, I set both sensors at the same time and sensitivity setting. Either sensor will bring on the light. Both senors need to be off to turn off the light. Perhaps this is what you meant by "3 way capable". Hope this helps - Ron

Answer:	it looks just like the picture, the lens is a cloudy white, and the rest of it is all white.

Answer:	This is not intended to screw into a light socket as you seem to surmise. It is intended to be attached to a knockout hole in an electrical box (either indoor or outdoor). You will then attach its wires to power and the lights to be controlled within the box in accordance with the instructions in the package. If you are not comfortable with home wiring, then I suggest you have the unit installed by an electrician. Adjustment of these devices is tedious to ensure that detection of what you want to detect (presumably persons) is detected and what you do not want detected (leaves in the wind, animals, noise, etc.) is not detected. This involves orienting the fixture and adjusting the sensitivity; this is a two-person job with whatever ladder you need to reach the device as it is installed. You may find that you need more than one sensor to do the job; it's just not possible to have a reliable detection region that is wide and thin. And, it cannot detect around corners. Good luck.
Question:	Hi. The installation diagram does not exist. Only a bad figure in the manual. May I have a clear installation instructions or diagram, please
Answer:	I agree with you. I also did not find it very clear. My advice is to pay close attention to what to what is written not the diagram. It is very easy to install incorrectly otherwise. Also before you remove faulty sensor - not how the wires are attached and label them before removing. That way you can install replacement without instructions. Finally - new time delay switch is touchy. I would set it to middle position. Good luck.

Answer:	Depends on use. Lights and Ceiling fans, 250w is fine. If you have a Electric ceiling heater That requires more watts, then the 600w I would use. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I have mine installed in a small walk-in (6 ft x 5 ft) closet and my 10 lb cat triggers it all the time, kind of annoying when it happens at 1 am. I just close the door to preven this from happening.
Question:	Will this work as... Enter room and I manually turn on the light and then the unit automatically turns off the light after a set time of inactivity? I only want it to turn off the light
Answer:	Follow up question on the previous answer....So if the unit turns off the light, is the actual switch toggled back to the "off" position? So that the next time someone walks in the door, they have to again toggle the switch back to the "on" position?
Question:	I don't get the,"No neutral required." A neutral is always required. What am I missing here
Answer:	I was an electrical engineer for Lutron back in the 1980's. Many dimmers and electronic switches like this one do not require a neutral wire to work. This is not a mechanical switch but an electronic one. It uses a silicon switching device called a triac which turns the light on and off 120 times per second, just like every dimmer ever made. During the brief period 120 times/second when the triac is off, the device draws a small amount of power through the light bulbs it controls, and uses this small amount of power to charge a capacitor, which you can think of as a rechargeable battery. Thus there are many wallbox products, such as most dimmers, that do not require a neutral wire to operate. Nor does it put any power intentionally to ground, which would be against the electrical code and thus could not be sold. The reason other companies require a neutral wire is because they were not designed by companies that also make dimmers as their engineers probably do not realize the device can be designed to draw sufficient power using a triac instead they use a relay, which would produce an audible click when switched on, where as a triac device would make no sounds when turning on and off. Answer:	It comes with the mounting stub as pictured. The mounting stub is the standard size for attaching to an electrical box (there are any number of options as to what size and style). I purchased this unit about a year ago and it has functioned flawlessly.
Question:	Can I use two of these in paralled to work one light? I want to mount them on the corners of a garage and turn on one central light
Answer:	My guess is you will burn them out. i tried this once with a water circulation pump (no light in the circuit) connected to a relay. A friend of mine had 3 of these in 3 different bathrooms in his house. the thought was as soon as someone walked into a bathroom, this device would activate a pump which would circulate hot water from the water tank to the fixtures (and hence the cold water in the line back to the tank for heating). We took precautions. first we made sure the power going to the 'hot' and neutral side of the sensors were from the same breaker (otherwise you could accidentally send 240 volts to the load if the sensors were on different sides of the line coming into your breaker panel). Second, we used a relay (mentioned earlier) as 'the load' because the draw (in amps) of the circulation pump was more than the sensor would allow as a pass though (you have to pay attention to the current these things will allow... watts, amps, miliamps - all need to know stuff! - we could have hooked it up directly, but it would have burned them out in short order, not to mention create a fire hazard). Finally, we ran all three of the load wires back to one junction box, tied them together with a wire nut (to complete the parallel connection you are talking about), and connected the load to the trigger side of the relay. we walked in each room and sure enough, the motion sensor engaged the relay, and the motor kicked on and the water circulated as designed. we thought we were home free. after about 2 months, we noticed one of the sensors was no longer activating the relay (and the pump did not run). we could eliminate the motor as it was completely separated from the electrical path. we discovered one of the motion sensors had burned out. replaced it, and all was well, and then a month later, a motion sensor from ANOTHER bathroom burned out. the relay hardly drew any power, so it couldn't be that. then we separated all of them and had three separate relays to engage the pump - never had another issue with burn-out. so what happened? we think if a person 'tripped' the motion sensor, it sent 110 volts to the load side of the other sensors (which were not activated by motion), and that 'back flow' of power messed up the electronics inside the sensors not in use. only explanation that made sense. so long story short, you could connect them in parallel, but i think they would burn out because of a 'back flow' between the devices. when we separated them with individual relays - no problems. e-circulation pump would have drawn more amps than the sensor allows to pass through we ranf the 'load' side of

Question:	Is there a switch i have to turn on? the light lit up as soon as i put the batteries in, but i can’t get it to activate again
Answer:	There are no switches on the lights. In normal use, the lights only switch on if their surroundings are dark. The built in light sensor is also designed to turn off the light if no movement has been detected for 15 seconds. Leave the light in a dark location, walk away and return in about 20 to 30 seconds. If the light is working, it should turn on.
Question:	Maybe I’ve missed it however, how do you take the light down once it’s up to change the batteries
Answer:	The light comes with a magnetic strip with an adhesive backing. Pull the protective covering off the magnetic strip and stick the strip where you want to position the light. The light is then placed on the magnetic strip to hold the light in place. To change the batteries, pull the light off the magnetic strip, replace batteries; then place the light back on the magnet.

Question:	What are the settings to keep the light on for the maximum amount of time? Mine goes off after about 10 seconds
Answer:	There's a little dial on it labeled "Time". When I got mine the dial was turned down to the shortest time setting. If I remember correctly you turn it clockwise for more time.

Answer:	North American 120V standard base is known as E26. That’s what I’m using with my LED retrofit bulb in this motion detector socket.
Question:	It does not tun on when there is little light in the room. How do i make it turn on when ever it senses motion
Answer:	After installation. Turn LUX knob clockwise to the maximum (SUN). Turn the time knob anti-clockwise to the minimum(-). Turn on the power, the sensor will electrify and warm up, 30 sec later the item will enter the calibrating state. 5-10 seconds after the light goes out for the first time it begins sensing, and the system should be in a working state. Turn the LUX knob anti-clockwise to the minimum. If it is tested below 3LUX, the light should go out after the time knob setting has elapsed, but if you cover the detection windiw with an opaque object (towel etc.) the light should come on. Under the condition of no motion detection the light should go out within the time knob setting. Example: For dark closet setup, turn the LUX knob to full minimum. Turn the time setting to how long you wish the light to stay on between motion detection.

Answer:	Mine is in the kitchen and it will turn on, even if the main kitchen and dining room lights are already on. It doesn't seem to be as sensitive to moving bodies when the lights are already on. It's range is reduced. In the dark of night, I believe the sensitivity of sensor increases. Because someone walking into the living room 20 feet from the device, will trigger it on. In the day time, that doesn't happen. You have to be in the kitchen to trigger it. If you have pets walking around at night, they will most likely trigger it.

Answer:	I have owned this product its been in constant operation 24/7 for 6 years now. My sensors have been outside ever since the day they came out of the box. Zero problems from any of the 5 sensors I have in use. I change out the batteries in each sensor twice a year to ensure that I avoid problems. So I know that the batteries are good for 6 months or more. CAUTION....PLACEMENT OF SENSORS IS CRUCIAL FOR THIS PRODUCT TO BE A USEFUL TOOL IN HOME SECURITY! It will take a bit of trial and error as the sensors are highly...well...sensitive! Be patient and they will become a valuable part of your security system.

Question:	How loud is the alarm mode
Answer:	The receiver has an "alarm" mode and a "ding dong" mode. It is also equipped with another switch that controls the pitch of the setting you choose. These options are loud, normal, and silent. Silent mode causes the light to flash only. NO MATTER WHICH SETTING YOU PREFER, I GARAUNTEE IT TO BE LOUD ENOUGH THAT IT WILL NOT BE PLEASENT ON THE EARS! Excluding silent mode obviously. And because of its range and expandable features, you can place a receiver on your night stand. Don't know abt the other answer, but if this alarm is set to loud and happens to go off when im sleeping, the first thing im gonna do is take out the sensor with my 9mm. YES THIS PRODUCT IS LOUD!!
Question:	What type of batteries
Answer:	The kit I received includes a window/door sensor which requires a CR2032 "button" battery. The chime-unit requires two AA batteries. I had mistakenly read these prior answers to imply everything *except* a button battery. (I prefer to avoid items where a button battery is used and a pair of AAA batteries would have sufficed, mostly out of safety for my grandchildren and the serious medical complications that can come from swallowing one.) I may still have made the purchase. It's just that I would have spent more time looking elsewhere on the off chance of finding a unit without button batteries.

Answer:	Not that I am aware of. Nor the sensitivity.

Answer:	The unit sounds the chime/alarm only as long as it senses motion.., any motion Once motion stops then it will stop sounding the chime. For a car in a garage the issue you will have is that anytime that someone walks by the sensor it will sound the chime again. Park a car in the garage that is full of people and you might want to take a gun to the unit (lol). Forget about doing any work around the sensor as it will also keep, “Sounding off”. Question:	Can more then 4 sensors be controlled by one receiver
Answer:	I ordered 2 sets of 4 sensors hoping they could use just one receiver. Unfortunately, the transmission signal was different for each set of sensors and I had to use both receivers—one receiver for each set of 4 sensors. It looks like each set of sensors is programmed to different a signal channel. Maybe other people are lucky and receive sets that are all programmed to the same channel. That’s ok though. I can use each set of 4 sensors to cover different zones of my house and have a different alarm sound play on each receiver based on what zone it’s coming from. Overall, I was still pretty happy with the product.
Question:	How could this not be weatherproof? I mean, driveways are usually outside, right
Answer:	I have mine on the outside garage wall underneath the eave, it gets rain and snow blowed on it, don’t have any problems because the sensor is run off of batteries. I had one similar to this one and it lasted almost ten years.
