Question:	How many separate PIN codes can i enter for different users to be able to disarm the system
Answer:	You can use 5 separate pins. This includes the master pin and four other pins. There's also a duress pin which I didn't include that will allow you to send a silent signal to the monitoring service if someone just happens to come in and make you disarm the system. The police will be automatically notified. So actually there are 6 pins. If you use the interactive monitoring you can easily add and change them online.
Question:	My experience with tape mounting is not good.Do you have the option of using screws,are there screw holes in the sensors
Answer:	Yes there are holes in the mounting plate. Everything has a mounting plate, so you could use tape or screws. I have used the tape on all but one heavy piece, the external siren. Everything is nice & secure.
Question:	Can the system run on a car battery
Answer:	Yes, but no... Here's the deal: If you want to run on a large batter as a backup, you need to get a deep cycle marine battery. They are made for deep discharges. Car batteries are not. Once you have deep cycle 12 volt battery, you need to get a pure sine wave inverter. Connect battery to inverter, then you can plug the SimpleSafe into the inverter. IF you do this, you need to have a meter so you can judge the charge level of the battery. Don't go below 50%. That means don't go below 12 volts. Charge back to 12.7 volts. A simpler solution is to get a deep cycle battery and a solar panel and charge controller. Connect the solar to the charge controller and battery and inverter, then you'll have a solar backup.
Question:	Do you need the cellular call function connected or will the system sound the alarm without it connected
Answer:	You do not need it connected. It will sound the audible alarm in the house. The cell service is only required if you want the dispatch center to notify your local PD.

Answer:	The tower is its own tower. It will still work. I did not have internet when I first got the Simplisafe Original and it still dispatched the police to my location. You will need internet for the camera to work though. The system itself does not need internet or a telephone connection.

Answer:	This is the All New SimpliSafe system. The previous generation is the SimpliSafe Original.

Answer:	Unfortunately they do not have a seperate monitor. But if you have tablet, you can download the app, and use it as your monitor.

Answer:	The camera is for indoor use only. It has an setting to indicate whether the picture is an outdoor or indoor view to compensate for the lighting.
Question:	How does the recording work? Can we use external storage device to record for longer durations
Answer:	An event will trigger the camera(s) to take a snapshot and send it up to the cloud. A 30-second recording will also occur per camera. As the camera has some memory in it, the 30-second recording will consist of 5 seconds before the event and continue for another 25 seconds. Event recordings get stored on the 16GB USB flash drive that gets plugged into an OPU USB port.Manual recordings are saved to the photo album of the device being used, be it smartphone or tablet. The recording is a 30 second video clip.
Question:	can extra cameras be added to the system
Answer:	Yes, you can add up to eight cameras per system (OPU). You can buy the cameras separately here on Amazon and add them in by scanning the QR code on the back of the camera.

Answer:	You can get Arlo "skins" on Amazon from different vendors in different colors, and one even comes in a camo pattern. You can probably get a pretty close match with one of the "skins". they fit very snug and you can hardly tell the camera has a skin. The camera body is a plastic material. I've painted previous cameras made from similar materials.

Answer:	No (must have internet connection) - in my test as of 11/14/2020 (Arlo iPhone app version 2.21; Camera: firmware: 1.070.50.6_231_6e7e184; hardware: H10; base ultra 2: firmware: 1.16.3.4_744_c289687; hardware: VMB5000r5; ). Without internet connection to base VMB5000 my Arlo App in iPhone cannot see cameras and cannot access local storage (micro SDXC card) via local wifi.

Answer:	Problem is you accept the risk of using Ring Alarms devices not Ring. If you get a false alarm you get the bill not ring. So there QC for overpriced sensors is bad logic. You should be able to use your sensor and accept it at your own risk. Z-Wave already has standard to help with this type of issue. I am bummed because I already have high quality hidden z-wave sensor all over my house and do not want to use these huge sensors RING provides. So yes if you already have a system stay with it and ask for a better price or check out https://www.amazon.com/abode-Essentials-Starter-Compatible-Google/dp/B0793N1V54. it actually will work with all of your equipment. good luck I hope Ring changes this policy
Question:	Is it smash proof? (i.e. will still send an alarm activation if the keypad is smashed
Answer:	Yes. The alarm signal is sent through the main hub. You can smash the keypad all you want and as long as the hub is safe then it will still send the alarm activation signal.
Question:	How much is the service for professional monitoring
Answer:	Professional monitoring service from Ring is $10/month or $100/annually. This includes camera recording for 60 days for as many cameras you put on your account and also included monitoring for smoke/fire and water if you buy those additional sensors. You still have to inform your local municipality about the monitoring service and possibly pay them either a one time or yearly registration fee (your township may call it something else) which is separate from the Ring services. Both the alarm system and cameras can be enabled to record when the alarm is tripped if you don't know about that by the way. They also incorporated the panic button into the Ring app on the iPhones now too. At $279 w/ the free Echo dot its a steal. I got mine when it was not on sale for $329.00 and no Echo dot.
