Answer:	The sensor does “work” with the SmartThings hub but the sensors don’t stay connected for more than a few hours in my experience.

Answer:	When I first used Sengled products it was their Element LED bulbs and the Element Home app was recommended. However when I subsequently purchased the Sengled Smart Plug, during installation it indicated I needed the Sengled Home app to continue. My initial thought was "now I need 2 Sengled apps for all this?" But that wasn't the case. The Sengled Home app recognized that the Element app was installed and automatically imported all my LED bulbs. As such, at the end of the Smart Plug install, the Element app was no longer needed and the Sengled Home app now controls both Sengled LED smart bulbs and Sengled Smart Plugs.

Answer:	Unfortunately there is no such device from any vendor as far as I know.

Answer:	Beleive they have door which opens to the outside. Florida homes have these for hurricanes. Hinge is inside but door swings out yet hinge pin is inside.
Question:	Does this act as zwave extender
Answer:	Only "Lines Powered" devices (plugged in or installed permanently to your homes electricity) will work as Z-Wave Repeaters or extenders. It is a Z-Wave requirement that all "Lines Powered" devices must repeat the Z-Wave network. Battery operated devices like this GE 32563 cannot repeat the network because their battery life would be used up in a matter of hours constantly listening for Z-Wave traffic to relay.
Question:	Does this require the door to be completely closed to register as closed
Answer:	Not really. The long arm you see in the pic rests against the door and is "calibrated" by pulling it off and putting it back down in a different position. There's a set of splines which give probably about a 10 degree precision. On our door the splines don't allow for it to be that accurate and the door can be unlatched and still register as closed. I imagine you could shim up the end of the arm to get it as precise as you wanted, but I'm not sure about the tolerances of the internal switch mechanism (i.e. if you got it so it was very precise when it was closed, would it then go back to closed once opened, or would it have to go past the previous position to trigger the switch).

Answer:	No, this is a sensor to let you know when your door has been opened. It's for monitoring in case of a break-in while you are away. It sends you a text saying your door has been opened.

The hinge pin door sensor is already set up for LEFT-opening doors. You will need to adjust the sensor if your door opens to the right.

Step 1

• Remove metal assembly with a short twist counterclockwise.
• Remove the screw and cap to reveal the gear. Lift the arm and place it aside for later.

Step 2

• Remove the gear and flip it upside down.
• Once the gear is flipped and put in place, turn the assembly 180 degrees sideways. The text should now read "Right".

Step 3

• Place the arm back by aligning the dots (see figure above).
• Replace the cap and secure with the screw.

• Add the metal upper to the main body by aligning the two reference points.
• Re-attach the metal assembly with a short twist clockwise.

Question:	Will this integrate with a Samsung Smart Things hub
Answer:	It is really shame that Chamberlain myQ decided to NOT support SmartThings. After their announcement to support it (which was if I remember 2015 or 2016), I actually switched all of the garage openers to be myQ compatible... which ended in major disappointment because they never got out the integration. There was a manual integration that a SmartThings user did, but even this one is now defunct.
Question:	Why does chamberlain charge a fee when the other devices are free
Answer:	This is a shame and Chamberlain should be embarrassed. It's pathetic. I would rather pay $10-20 more to never pay a subscription fee as long as I own the device. Aonthly or annual fee is just sickening and it's the singular reason why I have not purchased this product. Everything I own is Chamberlain. By including a fee, they have completely ALIENATED A LOYAL CUSTOMER. Am I also understanding this correctly that Alexa does not have a subscription fee for integration?
