Answer:	I've used a 250gb SSD with this devise. It may support higher, I haven't tried. PS: Just remember that all capture devices of this type will limit video files to multiple 2gb size. This means if you have a captured video that will need 20gb, it will create 10 files. There seems to be no frames missing as you go from one file to the next. Also, there is no audio output for headsets. I recommend you investigate the DIGITNOW video capture device (Also on Amazon). It is a much better device.

Answer:	Connect the HDMI out from your computer to the HDMI in on the recorder. Be sure to connect to an external monitor to verify that you are getting signal.

I use the HDMI input and directly record onto a flash drive at 1080 and then from the flash drive into my computer to edit. It's wonderful with no dropouts that I have encountered. I have been using this nonstop for 8 months with no problems.

Question:	Is there a way to access the menu without the remote
Answer:	I just checked mine and I do not see a way to access the menu, but I don't use the origianl remote anyway, I use a logitech universal remote, much easier to use as the buttons are larger.

Answer:	It just means that unit will allow Analog TV signals to pass through to the Tv and not just digital signals. Nowadays it means basically nothing. Almost everything is broadcast in Hugh def or digital format.

Question:	Are the recorded files viewable over any device other than the dvr itself? can i watch these recordings over my computer /streamable on home network
Answer:	I play the files in Pot Player and K-multimedia player too on my PC. Even changed the extension from .mts to .mp4 once and it worked too. So, if you don't have either of these players I mentioned, (or VLC as many suggest) you can try that. Also, when it records a 2 hour program, it records 2 separate files. But, the file extension for the second file is .mts1 which won't play on the computer unless you take the # 1 off at the end. But, then it will be the same exact name as the first file so, Windows won't let you. So, you also have to change the name of the second file that you remove the #1 from. Like add "part 2" to the file name. Example: I recorded a 2 hour program of "The Voice" which recorded in 2 parts...1 file for each hour. So this is what they looked like on my flash drive when I put it in my PC: First hour of the program was titled: 20190226-2000-WNBC -4-1.mts Second hour of the program was titled: 20190226-2000-WNBC -4-1.mts1 (see the 1 at the end of the file extension?) So, I took the #1 off of the file extension and added "part 2" to the second file name as seen below: 20190226-2000-WNBC -4-1 part 2.mts Or, call them anything you like..."Voice part 1" and the other "Voice part 2"...just as long as you title them differently and you remove that 1 at the end of the mts file extension.

Answer:	I bought mine about 2 years ago but yes it was brand new with a warranty. I still use mine and it works great. Never needed the warranty.

Answer:	Shoebox. I recommend against this machine. It mangled three pre-recorded tapes of mine before I discovered someone I disliked sufficiently to give it to. I replaced it with a Panasonic equivalent, which is superior in all respects.

Question:	Just received RCA shoebox. It only plays in rapid speed? not normal, any solutions before I return it
Answer:	I'm sure you have returned this by now, but I will answer any how to maybe help someone else. Speed control is internally controlled by a potentiometer (POT) for adjustability. You have to open the thing up to get to it. I had a unit that was playing in rapid speed as well, intermittently. I took it apart and this 500ohm POT was defective. I ended up replacing the POT with one I had at work along with three small wires going to where the factory POT mounted. The POT I replaced it with was not the same size. It fixed my problem and now it plays at normal speed.
