Answer:	I can't say for the Tecsun 380 but use it with a Tecsun 310et and Tecsun PL660 with very good results and have picked up places like Australia and New Zealand from southeast Ohio. I think the main difference between the 310 and 380 is that the 310 has an external antenna jack.

Answer:	No, DIN male and PAL plugs are different. This product includes F Male, PAL Male , PAL Female and 3.5mm Male. There is no DIN plug.

Answer:	No, you can't get regular am/fm radio from this. Most smartphones have deactivated the normal am/fm radio function. Most phones are actually capable of getting at least FM but the manufacturers and carriers get money from digital/streaming services.

Answer:	No. You did nothing wrong. I think the reason it can't stay upright because the screw is loose. There is a screw on the junction part. You can tighten a little then it will not flop over.

Answer:	Amazon lists the size as "Product Dimensions 19.1 x 8.5 x 3.4 inches". However that should more correctly read "Box Dimensions" as Amazon is more concerned with shipping size than product. The assembled antenna is just below 19 inches in diameter and a bit under 4 inches in height. (I didn't climb up on the roof for an exact measurement). As to how it will appear outside your balcony, you'll have to judge that yourself.

Answer:	You get two curved sections that are screwed to one end of the cross member near the coax connection. The identical sections look as if they aren't curved enough to snap into the opposite end of the member, but a bit of gentle pressure will bring them in so that they snap into the connector. I assembled it without looking at the instructions, and I'm a girl.

As stated by Tim Calhoun you must use a shielded coaxial cable and the cable shielding must be grounded, may i suggest you check the grounding on the the light fixtures. Also the light fixtures may be an older style with magnetic ballasts if so it may help to replace the magnetic ballasts with newer electronic ballasts.

Answer:	Not without damaging your radios existing antenna. If you were to strip off some of the plastic coating, you would have a spot to make a connection with the reel antenna’s metal clip.

Answer:	The other wire can be used as a ground, which will only make it work better, but is not required. Try extending that spare wire with small gauge doorbell wire to contact a metal (not plastic) cold water pipe. If that works, you can get a pipe clamp at any hardware store to make the connection better. Also try switching the two wires (make the antenna the ground, and the ground the antenna) to hear is that makes any difference.

Answer:	You didn't state where your hanging your antenna now in relation to hanging it on the glass block window, so if it's on the floor and you raise it up, then yes, it would improve your reception, but that is not an ideal place to put an antenna. By hanging it on the glass block window, most of the antenna is hanging below the window against the concrete wall and that does not make for good reception. Remember, the higher you can mount an antenna, the better the reception. Think cell phone, the reception is better upstairs than it is in the basement. I hope this helped you./

Answer:	This won't work directly with a SDR dongle. Most SDR have a frequency range of 30mhz to 3gigahertz which is above the range (120khz to 20000khz) of this antenna. You can get an up-converter which takes the low frequency signal from the antenna and boosts it into the range of the SDR.

Answer:	I have not hooked mine up but if you look at the illustrations you will note there is one with several short leads shown, one being an adaptor with two alligator clips, that would most likely work, depending on the radio, I have a Radio Shack SW radio from the 70s, it'd work with it, as well as my Kenwood R1000 with the PL type convectors.
