Question:	what’s the upgraded version vs old
Answer:	Not sure it is actually a “real” thing. Monster told me via chat they upgraded the drivers in the speaker for clarity and overall sound quality and dropped the microphone from the package to offset the xtra cost of the components. My guess is with the Corona Virus, they ran out of the karaoke microphones and couldn’t procure them so they had to sell the speaker without it. That’s the reason (in my opinion) you can always find a discount code to buy it at 50% off list.

Answer:	I use this at work because I to enjoy loud music. Its a great speaker and would definitely recommend it.

Answer:	I have this Monster...pretty awesome bass. Unfortunately it won't link to a 2nd for TWS. I got this for camping karaoke b/c they were including a mic at the time, but was also replacing a broken pair of Tronsmarts (one won't charge). I tried the W-KING 50 watter against Bugani M83, and after a week of auditioning, I sent back the Kings. The sub-bass on Bugani is via 2 square passives on the back, and them along with the total vibration of the cabinet results in that deeper sonic part of the sound that lets you feel it besides hear it. The high end on the Buganis is a bit too bright, but it can be reigned in on eq and end up with a solid balanced sound. Monster is pretty close to the Bugani, but as I said, too bad it won't do a stereo pair...hope this helps. Have a good one!

Question:	I am looking for a speaker to connect to echo dot via line in. will this need to be switched to a line in mode every time i ask alexa to play music
Answer:	You can directly connect the Echo Dot line out to the Play 5 line in. There are two problems: it requires that you set the Sonos to line in mode and the Dot line out is hardwired to bypass the internal speaker. That means if you use the Sonos for something else you can't hear Alexa. What I did to make this a little better was to bluetooth the Dot to a line out device (usually used to bluetooh your phone to your car speakers) connected to the Sonos. You can verbally switch the Dot to internal speaker or bluetooth. The Sonos and Dot can still be used without moving wires around.
