It is not super loud so it probably wake you up if you can get the sensor close enough to your bedroom to still pick up his movement if he get up to leave his room. You might consider using a drive way alert instead...it is a little louder and you can put the sensor so it beams across his bedroom door and the main unit in your bedroom next to your bed since it is wireless.

Q: How to connect the car or stereo to play?

A: There is a 3.5mm aux cord with a male plug on each end in the package. One goes into the unit the other plugs into alternative input.

Q: How to turn on the player?

A: The power switch is located on the side. Please toggle it to ON position to play normally. When a disc is played to the end or there is no disc, the player will enter a standby mode after 20 seconds. Please press the PLAY button again to restart the player.

Note: The power switch has a key lock function which is designed to lock the operation of all the keys. A HOLD word will be displayed on the screen at this time. Do not toggle the power switch to the HOLD position before the operation is completed.

If you are taking the 3.5mm input approach, you must use a male to male 3.5mm connector (think 90s era headphones) wire or if Bluetooth, then you need purchase a 3.5mm to Bluetooth transmitter (not receiver, don't confuse the two). Then just pop in two AA batteries, your favourite CD and you're rocking on down the road.
