Answer:	When recording a mono player to a your computer, use a mono to mono 3.5mm (1/8") phone cable. This will allow you to record the single audio channel from the cassette recorder to the computer's stereo with the same signal for both the left and right channels. You should also be able to set the recording software to record in mono.

Answer:	Yes. This recorder is NOT THE BEST, BUT CERTAINLY NOT THE WORST. I got it for Taping Music. I am a Musician and Singer and it DOES NOT DO WELL FOR THAT, BUT. For Talking, Yes. It would be good. One tip. Don't hold the Microphone too close to your mouth, It will blur when you record. Hold it a few inches away and it will be fine. Answer:	Yes. Runs on both AC and battery.
Question:	Could I plug my phone into the mic jack and then record some songs from phone to a cassette
Answer:	Not easily, no. The mic jack on this recorder is mono only. So a standard 3.5mm stereo cable won't do the trick. You would need a 3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm mono cable (or adapter). The resulting audio, of course, will be in mono only. Also, the recording head on this cassette recorder is very, very poor. I wanted to record audio for my truck and the quality was just way to low for music. It is really better suited for voice recording.

Answer:	I haven't tried to. But it's possible if you have it set to the voice activated setting more than likely. I'd assume the battery would die if it was just on full blown record setting the whole time.

Answer:	Hi...The recorder is not always on. To turn it off, press and hold the round Play/Pause button and you will see a countdown on the monitor; 1...2...3, Bye, Bye. Then the monitor goes dark. I haven't set a passcode so to turn it on I press the same button until Welcome appears on the monitor.

Question:	Mine won't turn off? I hold down the play/pause button until it shuts down. But as soon as I let off the button it turns back on
Answer:	I'm assuming you have the owner's/operator's manual available. If you are following the instructions correctly for turning off the device, and it doesn't operate as specified in the manual, that would suggest a malfunctioning unit. I've seen some situations where a contact will stay "closed" which would be the equivalent of holding down the power button which might only RESTART the device (would APPEAR to shut off but then start back up). But first check the manual to be sure you're doing the shut-down correctly.

P.S. question wasn't silly. - it made me think back: once had a BF whose snore had a life its own (so much so that it had its own name: "The Beast") BF, of course denied that he snored at all. Soooo one night I recorded The Beast. A couple of days later I dialed his phone and when he answered I didn't say hello, I just hit play and let him converse with The Beast. I thought it friggin HI-LAR-EE-US! Him? . . . . not so much. Your results may vary. :-)

Answer:	It fit my standard zippo shell...........it is a bit difficult to use compared to a regular soft flame pipe lighter.....as far as lighting your pipe........checkout vector lighters.

Answer:	It's a "clicky" push button. I currently have a sore thumb and can still push it. In my opinion the original flint and wheel might be easier than the button. The flame comes out the side and not the top like the old lighter insert. I bought it for in my hiking stuff. If your friend doesn't have useable thumbs? I'd think they could still use it.
