Plug It In

The MultiMix 4 USB FX mixer has four input channels, all of which can accept a 1/4inches line input. You can plug XLR microphones into channels one and two, including condensers thanks to the selectable 48V phantom power supply. You can also plug a guitar or bass directly into channel two's switchable high impedance DI input. A stereo, 1/4inches headphone output has its own level control for private monitoring.

Answer:	Think of it like a concert, Main Out is the speakers the crowd would hear. Monitor Out is the speakers turned backwards that the musicians hear. Headphone Out is what the producer behind the mixer listens to. And yes, you can control the volume on all three of those outputs independently from each other.

Answer:	Evening... I downsized from the Multimix 4 to a two-channel mixer, basically used for my audio book recordings. If memory serves me correctly, this does offer 2 track in/out via the bus (stereo, of course). Sorry I couldn't be of more help...have you checked out the specs at places such as B&H, Sweetwater, zZounds and so on?

Answer:	Hi Martin,AKAI support here! The MIDImix is a "Blank-slate" type of controller, allowing you to map it to any DAW that has some form of MIDI Learn. Unlike almost any other DAW out there, Pro Tools does not have this functionality, aside from some plugins that can be loaded within it, so this unit cannot map to Pro Tools in the state that the software is in right now. Answer:	yo yeah. its midi mappable. i use ableton, however i used both cubase and fl and the midi mapping is basically the same. activate the controller in midi settings then map it if they dont have any fl or cubase maps made anywhere. i havent ever checked myself, i just map the midimix to my channels in ableton

Answer:	There are a couple ways to do it: One, simply highlight what you wish to cut, then go into the "Edit" menu and click on "cut." The second way (which I would prefer) is to simply make a new take. Under "File" hit "new." And a new empty box for your recording will show up. Highlight what you wish to copy (leaving out the first three minutes) and drag it onto the new take. Good luck!

Answer:	I think what happens is that the recording is still resident but just ends with the *beep beep* of the battery dying. I've not paid attention lately to it, though.
