Question:	Mine won't turn off? I hold down the play/pause button until it shuts down. But as soon as I let off the button it turns back on
Answer:	I'm assuming you have the owner's/operator's manual available. If you are following the instructions correctly for turning off the device, and it doesn't operate as specified in the manual, that would suggest a malfunctioning unit. I've seen some situations where a contact will stay "closed" which would be the equivalent of holding down the power button which might only RESTART the device (would APPEAR to shut off but then start back up). But first check the manual to be sure you're doing the shut-down correctly.

Soooo one night I recorded The Beast. A couple of days later I dialed his phone and when he answered I didn't say hello, I just hit play and let him converse with The Beast. Answer:	Just a note about recording into a dslr: the bitrate and sample rate you set on the zoom doesn't affect the bitrate and sample rate recorded onto the dslr file. Your dslr always determines the bitrate and sample rate. (IE: for most Canon's that's 44khz/16 bit). The audio quality from the zoom will be better than your on-camera mic simply because the microphone itself is higher quality, but don't expect to be recording 96khz/24 bit audio straight into your dslr's .mov files!

Answer:	Sure thing. I use mine as a primary aiduo recorder for my Nikon D5300. I use the sound from the camera as areference track and then stnc the wave file from the Zoom to the video using Final Cut X. Works perfect with much better sound quality.

User questions & answers

Question:	I have a noisy neighbor and i need a device that can pick up his stumping and banging
Answer:	I always put a strip of heavy duty white Velcro (purchased on Amazon) on the top edge of all my GPSs'. Leave the Velcro strips together and peel the tape off the one for the glass. Set the GPS on the dash exactly where you want it and press the glued Velcro against the glass. This makes the GPS very low profile compared to the suction cup and weighted mounts and out the line of vision but very easy to see. I have never had the tape come off either one and you can easily pull the GPS off by separating the Velcro. By the way the tape I use is 3/4 inch. In the past I have had the Velcro slide down if parked into the sun for an extended period of time if it is over 90 degrees but it's been up to a 100 degrees this year and it hasn't happened. That is of course when the GPS isn't attached to it. In any event if you catch while it is still hot you can slide the tape back up into place. The reason I originally started using this method is because the dash is textured so the suction cup won't stick to it and in the winter time the suction cup wouldn't stay on the windshield besides always creating a blind spot.
Question:	Dose it record once it hears voices
Answer:	If you have the LMT version, it puts an alert up on the screen that there is a delay ahead and how much delay there will be. It hasn't yet offered an alternate route too me that I was told about in time to be able to use it. It just says you are on the fastest route already. This happens where I live so I usually know where the congestion is likely to be from experience and can route around it. That being said, on a trip through Georgia it indicated a problem ahead and I also read about the problem on one of those overhead signs as to where the problem was. With care I was able to cross 2 lanes and get off at an exit a short distance away. Followed cars who seemed to know where they were going and the Garmin immediately calculated a route back to I-75. That route was flowed by those 4 cars I followed. When it said turn to get back on I-75 they did not so I followed them. Garmin recalculated and this time everyone followed the same route and I could see the accident in my rear view mirror as I got back on I-75, 6 miles from where I left it. The road was completely blocked. Saved about 3-4 hours by following other people and Garmin at the same time. So answer is yes and no. If you leave your route to detour around a problem it will guide you back to your route. The one time it did suggest a detour to me I would have saved time, but it was offered as I passed the exit I would have needed to take. Too little too late.
Question:	Can i playback via bluetooth earpiece
Answer:	7 inches is WONDERFUL - especially for those of us who have hit the BIG 5-0!
Question:	How much heat can this device take if left in the car during the summer. The same for deep winter
Answer:	I live out in the country I don't see any reason why it would'nt work out for you have a great trip your going to a beautiful place.
