Answer:	I own one of these and I can tell you that the top shelf is 75" Wide and is 17" in depth. I have a 60" LED TV sitting on it and its perfect for it.

Answer:	I haven't tried to. But it's possible if you have it set to the voice activated setting more than likely. I'd assume the battery would die if it was just on full blown record setting the whole time.

Answer:	Hi...The recorder is not always on. To turn it off, press and hold the round Play/Pause button and you will see a countdown on the monitor; 1...2...3, Bye, Bye. Then the monitor goes dark. I haven't set a passcode so to turn it on I press the same button until Welcome appears on the monitor.
