Answer:	No it will not, it doesn't have caller identification capabilities. However, as a working tool, it is possibly one of the best investments I've made to date. Answer:	Hi RAF,There was a mistake in the tutorial and I apologize, we are getting it corrected and should have the updated tutorial up on YouTube and on our Techerific website by tonight. You want to plug that green and red cable into the mic port of the DeciVibe. Use the male male 3.5mm cable (with identical ends) from your headphone port on your phone to the green hole of the included adapter, and the included lapel external mic will go into the red hole of the adapter to record your voice. Next plug in your earbuds into the DeciVibe on the right side. In the Record From settings set it to Microphone instead of Line in. And in the Monitoring Settings select ON. Press the back key near the top twice to exit and save your settings. You'll want to keep noise cancellation off and adjust the headphone/speaker volume on your phone until both voices are equal, in your earbuds you will be able to hear how it's going to sound to equalize their voice and your voice volume perfectly. Please note there are no beeps to notify the caller he is being recorded, it is all completely silent, so if using for legal matters you are required by law to notify the caller in advance that they are being recorded. First they removed two of the wires used to transfer data, Second, they cut a small window so you could see that the wires are not there, and as an extra reminder they laser etched "No data". They also explained how their Smart charge works. If you decide that you want to order this be careful on Amazon's site because they also have the second generation listed for sale.

Answer:	Now that's a two dollar word! I have a tablet and a GPS that will not charge if connected to something with smarts. My car lighter adapter (12 v in, 5 v out) and my Calltronics InstaCharge both have circuitry that put a signal on pins 2 and 3. There is no charge function unless the power sources are isolated with a data blocker. So, yeah, the little red marvel has no passthrough pin connections that lets intelligence seep from one device to the other. Answer:	Yes, that's a good use for such a light panel, but this is probably a little bigger than you need unless you plan to capture multiple negatives in one shot. Such 'ganging" is best for reference: showing a whole roll of 35mm film, or four or six 4x5 negatives that form a natural group or share a subject. The resolution created by such a multiple-negative scan will NOT allow for an enlargement you'd be satisfied to display. An image of a 35mm roll (36 film exposures) needs an 8.5x11 panel minimum. Then if you want to use all the camera resolution for one negative, you'll bring the tripod a *lot* closer to capture the single neg. You need a dedicated macro lens. This is something I have done professionally. Watch some videos for more suggestions.

Answer:	There is an unacceptably long delay for it to start recording, up to 10 seconds where it says "please wait." Also clunky and clumsy to use, poor interface. I returned it and got an Olympus VN-541PC which has a button you can slide to ACTUALLY start recording instantly.

When you enter the recording mode, it will automatically start recording when it detects the sound, and it will stop when it does not detect the sound. It also has a sensitivity setting, you need to set it to the lowest level, otherwise, even your breathing sound can be recorded.

Answer:	I'm assuming you have the owner's/operator's manual available. If you are following the instructions correctly for turning off the device, and it doesn't operate as specified in the manual, that would suggest a malfunctioning unit. I've seen some situations where a contact will stay "closed" which would be the equivalent of holding down the power button which might only RESTART the device (would APPEAR to shut off but then start back up). But first check the manual to be sure you're doing the shut-down correctly.

The TR600 telephone call recorder will record calls on any analog, IP, or digital business phone lines. Set the phone recorder it to automatically record when a call is made or received. Telephone call recordings are stored on the included 8GB removable SD card. Calls can be played back on the TR600 phone recording device itself or you can remove the SD card and playback/store on any MAC or Windows computer; no extra software is required. Answer:	We haven't used ours all that much yet, but one of the other reviewers (Bill y) said: "It works as advertised and records around 500 hours on the accompanying SD card. It will use anything up to a 64 gig card so that works out to 2,000 hours." Another reviewer said they had only just gotten their recorder, but that they had successfully recorded an hour-long interview, which gives an idea of how long you can go on the batteries. How To Connect The TR600 to Different Types of Phones

The chart above explains how to connect the TR600 to different types of phones. For analog and digital phones, the phone line connector & wall jack is the same size/type; however, the way the TR600 is hooked is different. An IP phone line (ethernet/internet) cable and wall jack is a larger size. This important information to know when determining what type of phone you have.

To record calls automatically, the TR600 will need to be set the following ways:

Analog Phones: Operate the TR600 in "line mode" with the "auto" record setting activated.

Digital/IP Phones: Operate the TR600 in "handset" mode with the "voice activation" setting activated.

The time/date of each recording is displayed on the LCD screen of the TR600 & files are stamped with the time/date. Loop recording ensures that recording is never stopped when the memory card fills up.
