Answer:	these are LED . LEDs have a general life expectancy of 50 000 hrs. If you use your lights for 10 hours a day, this should be 13.7 yrs. If this is correct, then LED’s are definitely an investment, even the top of the range bulb would work out to cost 2.55GBP per year. Add that to the saving you would make on energy and you’ve got a very cost effective bulb!

Answer:	They are 5 inches tall with the handles down, with the handle up about 7 1/2 inches and with the light on, handles down 7 inches. The handles up add about 2 1/2 inches. Diameter is a little over 3 1/4 inches.

Answer:	It's intended for a 4" round pole but I would believe that you could make it work. It may not fit perfectly out of the box though. I used mine on 10" fluted, round, exterior columns and had to trim some of the material on either side to fit them. And yes, the devices are pre-wired. They have pigtails.

Answer:	It costs only $13 so it's made in China, if it was made in New York it would cost $130, if London $230 :)
Question:	Where is the on/off switch for this lantern
Answer:	Just disassembled mine to make the lens "frosty" instead of clear (keep from burning my retinas!). There's a microswitch on top of the battery compartment. A long spring connected to the LED array presses against the switch to turn it off--extending obviously releases the switch. The battery compartment cover can be installed in 4 positions (rotating 90 degrees between). If not in the correct one of the 4, the spring would never press the normally-closed switch (opening the circuit and turning off the light). If your doesn't turn off, I'd suspect wrong orientation of the cover plate or that the spring has fallen off. Either would be a pretty simple fix. Curiously, I also found the long center screw was installed upside down. The bottom end plastic is shaped to capture the nut. It made initially disassembly slightly more difficult (you'll need a 7mm socket or open-ended wrench).

Answer:	Hello, the ad is not actually showing a battery but the collapsed lantern. It does take AA, 3 of them. I didn't buy my original lantern on Amazon but I came to buy a replacement one and looked at the questions. Oh, mine is having to be replaced because it kept getting borrowed once people saw how great it is until it finally failed to be returned. I'm buying several more as gifts!

Answer:	I have a COB flashlight that takes 3 AA batteries & - it runs all of about 10 minutes on them & then dims to the point of useless - even on good 2800MaH capacity batteries. Why manufacturers make COB lights like these to burn through AAA batteries at warp speed... instead of using 18650 LiON Rechargeables that run for hours & hours...! I will never understand. I am now to the point where if a high powered light doesn't take 18650 LiON rechargeables - I don't even want to think about buying the hassle.

Question:	can you use it over an outside grill
Answer:	Yes. I use mine on a Weber Q1200. Look at pics because there is a Coleman grill that will melt if you use this on it.
Question:	What are the interior dimensions of the oven
Answer:	The outside dimensions are 12x12x12, so the inside dimensions are the same, minus about a 16th of an inch (or a little less, maybe 1/32?) for the thickness of the metal. If you just figure its one cubic foot you're going to be fine. You can find ten inch square bake-ware (muffin tins, cookie sheet, cake pan) on Amazon.com pretty easy. The bake-ware is actually usually on the same page as the oven if you scroll down.
Question:	I was wondering if anyone actually has tried to use the Coleman oven on top of a woodstove that has a firebox that is thermostaticly controled
Answer:	I've used it only on a gas stove, either propane or butane. You may need to have a flame right below the oven. If the heat source is too far away, the distance and lack of insulation in the oven may prevent it heating as high as 350 F.
Question:	Where would one get extra racks for the inside of this unit
Answer:	I had the same problem, extra racks. They do not sell them. What I did was cut the lower parts of two wire hangers,so you have in your hand two rods the size of the original rack. Answer:	A triple A battery will fit, but the light requires a 3.7 Volt battery,and the AAA batteries are only 1.2 Volts.

Answer:	No it will not use standard AAA batteries. The battery charges inside the flashlight under the lens end of the light, just gently pull the lens barrel and see the charging port under a micro USB.

Answer:	I'm a professional mechanic and for what I do, the Streamlight brand is awesome. They are bright, the batteries last forever not to mention, I have dropped my lights in every kind of muck you could think of in a shop and they still work. Answer:	I'm assuming you mean intrinsically safe in the official NFPA-type definition, vs the other people who assumed you just meant safe in general. The official answer would have to come from the company, but given that the electronics are solid state (no arcing/sparking) and the waterproof sealing, I wouldn't be uncomfortable using this in a Class 1 Div 2 environment. I'm not sure I would use in C1D1 without direct information from the manufacturer.

Answer:	Yes you can, but you'll need a 110v AC to 12v DC power converter and you'll also need a base station type antenna. I'm not sure why you would use this particular unit though because Midland makes a 40watt unit that would be much better suited to base station use.
Question:	Are the privacy codes compatible with Motorola talkabout radios
Answer:	Yes, however, I also have the T600 talkabouts and I was disappointed in the range between the MXT275 and the T600. I live in the city (Boston) in a neighborhood with lots of houses, so I knew that I had obstructions to deal with. But I thought I would have gotten better performance. The MXT to T600 only got about 50-75 feet further than the two handheld T600s got with each other. I am awaiting the upgraded 3db antenna to see if that helps any. Also, just a note, I did some research and the Talkabouts are limited to max power of 1.5 watts. Probably more realistically 1 watt consistently. I decided to pick up a set of the new Midland T295 handhelds.. as they are rated at nearly 3 watts.. probably 2.5 watts more realistically. But thats still a 150% power increase over the T600s so in theory.. I'm hoping the more powerful handheld.. paired with the MXT and the upgraded 3db antenna will have far better performance. I'm sure I'll have far more success with this set up when we use them on camping trips away from the city tho. Cheers.

Answer:	Don’t be fooled, most users don’t and shouldn’t be required to have a license to use this radio. The other answer that says you are required to have and use a call sign is false. You can get a GMRS license which might be a good thing to have. Now if your setting up a repeater I believe you do need to be licensed.

Answer:	I am a meat cutter, and I cook rib roasts a lot! 15 minutes on both sides is not long, this is needed to sear the outside, and start rendering out all the heavy fat of a standing rib. I will say that at 500, you will have to watch it! Rib roasts are fatty, high heat will cause flare ups. After that lower the heat, the more you take your time, the better the results. Most smokers, the manuals will tell you, are essentially slow cookers with smoke. That’s how they work best. The Davy Crockett can also grill quite well, but it’s a bit different than using a regular grill. This is the nature of most pellet grills I’ve seen. I must add; I love my GMG! It took a little time to learn how it’s best used, but the results have been delicious!
Question:	Your description lists to temp as 500 but the green mountain grills website says 550. Is that just a typo or is this an older version with less range

Answer:	Huh. Yeah it will. However it uses very low amps and will take a long time to drain a battery. A small solar panel can be a very good way to power the Davy Crockett as well.

Answer:	I recommend you use regular AA batteries. You'll get much better battery life... Even with Sanyo Eneloops 1000mAh to 1500mAh each, it is already better than the 6v 700mAh rechargeable... You'll get around 2000mAh to 3000mAh at 4.8v with regular rechargable AA batts, or possibly more if they aren't rechargeable.. The only thing is when the batteries start draining, you might get less transmission distance as the voltage is a bit less.
Question:	If I purchase 2 sets, can all 4 radios communicate with each other
Answer:	Yes...... all the "channels" are set by FCC... the "PL codes" can vary by manufacture... (If I remember correctly, if the PL code is set, they wont talk with a Motorola).... Note: Only "prob" with these guys seems to be the volume knob (dont drop it on the knob :)... No parts available, you just have to toss it...
Question:	The listing says 50-channel but the description says 22 channel. Which is it
Answer:	I 100% agree with James who has provided the best answer. It is a 22-channel radio. The "extra" channels are nothing more than the same FRS and GMRS channels "hard-coded" into the radio with various security codes. However I find those other channel useful, you can pick any and not to worry about punching in security code, since it is already preconfigired - in other words makes it even simpler to use.

Answer:	Regardless of what the "official" response from Midland is, the printed manual contains the following: "The radios operates on GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) frequencies which require an FCC (Federal Communications Commission) license. You must be licensed prior to operating on channels 1 - 7 or 15 - 22, which comprise the GMRS channels of the radios. Serious penalties could result from unlicensed use of GMRS channels, in violation of FCC rules, as stipulated in the Communications Acts Sections 501 and 502 (amended)."
