Answer:	Yes, it will work on GMRS mobile units, however, since you generally need 20' or less of coax in a mobile installation, this would be enough cable for at least 4 vehicles. You would need to cut it and install more coax connectors as well. Using this long a cable as is in the typical mobile would result in excessive signal loss. If you want pre-made cables (connectors already installed) look for some in the 17'- 20' length. Avoid RG58 cable for UHF.

Answer:	Should work fine outdoors. I use mine for a scanner antenna that is on the tower. I taped the ends with electrical tape to keep out moisture. If you live in severe weather conditions insulate for your weather.

Answer:	Yes, if your Diamond has an so239 connector. But I have never seen a mobile setup that requires 50' of rg8x, 20' would be plenty with left over wire to wrap up. Find a 12-18' piece. That would work better.

Answer:	My guess is that it isn't Times or Belden. There is no other labeling on the cable other than rg8x. I bought the 50ft run for a couple of antenna projects so I cut into it. It is double shielded and the center conductor is the right size for rg8x. I use a crimp tool for finishing my coax and it fit snugly into the rgx8 pl259 connector. I also used 10ft of it in a mobile HF install where I run 200 watts and it has held up just fine. Even when I run 100% duty cycle digital modes for 50 seconds lime JT65.

Answer:	There's a couple of ways you can hook a phone up. What you're breaking out are the first two pairs of a multipair phone plug. You can plug an RJ-11 or an RJ-45 into the socket. If you use an RJ-45 only the first two pairs will connect.The other way is to take your incoming phone wire and punch the individual wires down in one of the rows. The tricky thing (in my opinion) is that regular phone wiring uses green/red for the first pair and black/yellow for the second, where this uses a different coloring scheme. As far as DSL, this is a distribution box. It's up to you how you want to wire it. You might want to split things before this and use the output of the filter for the hub. The plus side is more signal for the DSL modem, the minus side is less signal for each of the other phones that are hooked up.

Answer:	Yes. I use it for 11 meter Citizen Band Radio at home. It is a great coax for CB no interference with receive or transmit. I'm running a small linear off it that peaks at approx 150 watts and have no problems with it handling it.
