Answer:	And no there is no 12v plug or anything. Just has a positive and negative for wiring to your power supply of your choosing. And yes to needing to be wired up which is easier than you think.

Answer:	The CB has two wires built in so all you would need is a cigarette lighter socket adapter and wire it up. The wires are about 4' long so you should have no problems where you mount it. The wiring is very easy - that's the set up I have so I can unplug and remove the CB when I'm just driving around locally.
Question:	Do i need to buy and antenna for this? Or does it come with one
Answer:	It needs an antenna regardless? There is no internal one? Is it ok to leave the small antenna inside the vehicle? Like in the trunk or glove box?

Answer:	The 520XL can also be taken to any CB shop and be "peaked and tuned" to over double the factory power. This is a very common practice that any trucker will do with his/her CB. This radio, peaked and tuned will deliver 8.5-9.0 watts with 17-18 watt peaks. This is more than twice the factory (legal) power, and adds significant range and clarity to your radio. As far as I am aware, there are no other compact radios on the market with the ability to be peaked and having the RF gain control in a compact unit is AWESOME. This radio is a gem. Answer:	Hi there, The unit reading of this portable fish finder can be changed to feet. You can press and hold the ENTER key for 3 seconds to change it from ‘M’ to ‘Ft’. Hope this helps you.

Answer:	I have one on my 1968 Corvette with the battery in a compartment behind the drivers seat. Just make it a little harder to get at.
Question:	What type of connector does the mic use? Is it an RJ
Answer:	This clamp is sized to fit the smaller diameter negative post (the positive one is too large) of a 12 volt battery. If your 6 volt battery's positive post is also larger than the negative, then you'll have to use this on the "live" negative one, which, for your application, shouldn't pose a problem. A little useful hint, I used an electrical zip tie to keep the swiveling side post of the switch close to the battery terminal, so it stays put when you unscrew the knob to break the circuit. Question:	What speaker work with this cb
Answer:	I threw the top screw type away when I realized how easy it was to lose it and be completely out of luck. Go with the lever type.....it takes good finger strength to open and close and I highly doubt would juggle back into place while towing.

Answer:	It really depends on the terrain and the amount of radio interference in your area. With a properly tuned antenna in relatively flat terrain you should be able to get at least six miles probably more. I'm assuming your asking about mobile and not base use.

Answer:	When the radio is set to a CB channel it returns to that channel after being switched off then back on. If set to a weather channel it jumps back to CB after switching off then back on.

Answer:	I have owned both. Uniden lasted 6 months, it couldn't take the vibration in my Jeep. I replaced it with the President McKinley and I am very satisfied with the change
Question:	does internal swr meter work well or do i need a seperate meter to tune it correctly
Answer:	Measuring using internal SWR and external SWR, both measurements are equivalent to almost identical. But the internal SWR meter has a feature where it produces continuous sound when the measurement is 1.0/1.0, and it produces discontinuous beeps when measurement is not 1.0/1.0. This is an excellent feature from President, it does not require to read the display when tuning the antenna length for SWR. No, an external SWR is not needed, should not waste money for one

Answer:	Somebody posted a video on YouTube that was very helpful. I used my radio for a long time in the semi and it did a good job.

Answer:	the microphone IS replaceable, But it would take a little work on your end. There is a Plug on the circuit board the mic plugs into, but it isn't as easy as a normal Cobra type CB... and there is no reason to swap the mic, it has plenty of audio available for full modulation

Answer:	It does not appear to do splits or CTCSS so not useful for repeater operation just simplex, unfortunately.

Answer:	its a cb bc anyone with a soldering iron can "convert" it in less then 5 mins with plenty of vids and pics out there to make it dummy proof ! you can also adjust the power output with the twist of a potentiometer . you are modding the radio so you can use it on legal frequencies so there would be no reason for the fcc to hunt you down in black vans with spinning yagi antennas on the roof lol. just respect the ham guys and dont transmit on channels off 11 meters without getting a ham ticket and it will be a good lil radio for you! pushes a 2 pill amp really well ! 73's :)
