Once you mold the plastic to seal the earpiece to your earhole, they block out sound quite well. You will only be able to have coms on one side at a time though. So if you want to isolate yourself from the outside world (not recommended for motorcycle riding) you’ll have to put an ear plug in the opposite ear.
