Answer:	The volume is adjustable and can be loud - but it is so much fun, your precious nephew might learn to like a little louder.

Answer:	You can stay dry, no problem. The rocket launches with a bicycle pump that you use your foot to pump. The hose tubing puts you about 8 ft or so away from the rocket.
Question:	Amazon says it has a max power of 10w but Baofeng has it at 5w. which is correct
Answer:	This does not come with a pump, but you can use most pumps, even ball or toy pumps. We used a Spalding 12" Dual Action Pump which I normally keep around for pumping up basketballs... it's only about $7 on Amazon and is way more portable / easy to stick into a backpack with the rest of the rocket kit (and a gallon milk bottle full of water for fuel). A good 4-6 pumps with the Spalding will launch the rocket even when the stopper is on pretty tight. One of the three little plastic plugs that connects to the hose is threaded and will screw right into the Spalding pump's top, the same part that a pump needle would normally screw into... so if you have a pump that can take a screw-in needle adapter, it should fit with one of the three plastic adapters included in the kit.

Answer:	BOTH ARE CORRECT. The BaoFeng radio puts out 5 watts maximum. This antenna is capable of handling up to 10 watts maximum. Your BaoFeng radio will still be transmitting at 5 watts, but if you ever chose to connect this antenna to some other radio that produced up to a 10 watt signal, it would still work. Any higher and you would fry the radio.
Question:	will this antenna work on a sl3500 motorola walkie
Answer:	It's rigid enough that you can't fold it tighter than you see in the photo. I wouldn't fold it more than twice. But you can store it in a commo box by running / threading it around the outside edge making 90 degree turns at each corner I'd think. I wouldn't roll it.
Question:	Will this work with uv5ra
Answer:	The "144/430" reference I'm sure is 2m/ 70cm amateur radio band plan ( 144-148 mhz (2m ) and 430- 480mhz (70 cm)

Answer:	It has its uses and I would say go with the bigger ones if you do buy one. There’s a few videos online so go do some research or just buy it and try it out.

Question:	Does this fit the Kenwood NX
Answer:	I don’t know. I was disappointed in the performance of this antenna. It’s not bad, just not that much better then a large whip. Plus it’s size makes it very awkward to use. I’ll keep it in the trunk of the car as a back up in case I’m broke down in the middle of nowhere. Then it might came in handy. And since I live in the middle of LA County, there is a lot of radios & repeaters to choice from.

Answer:	The antenna I receuved was not a retractable, the one I have works superbly! The non retractable one is very limber, it will stand straight up and down but it's not so stiff that you it won't flex quite a bit. I feel any retractable antenna would diminish the value of using an antenna like this one. If you need a short antenna, then buy a short antenna, they are cheap and I have multiple antennas for multiple situations. If I'm working a festival with base station close, I run a short rubber duck, if I'm mobile/driving and will be far from a repeater or using simplex. I use this. I would recommend you buy a non retractable.
Question:	Does this fit the uv-5r ex? I ordered from another supplier and the collar around the base prevented screwing the antenna into the radio
Answer:	NO! The equation for an antenna length is: 2808/frequency=length in inches As stated by the Mfg: "When you are only receiving and not transmitting you can conveniently retract the antenna down to only 4 inches." So the only frequency that has a SWR of 1:1 is around 700 Mhz. If you increase the length up to about 6.3" than you could Tx at: 440 Mhz but that's it. You need to increase the length up to 12.7" for 220 Mhz. You need to increase all the way to the 16" mark for 175 Mhz. But that's not going to get you under the 3:1 SWR you will need for 2M at 146 Mhz. For that you need to get to a length of 19.2". So for all practical purposes this antenna is not suitable for Ham radio TX. Or even the MARS applications at the 150's Mhz range.
Question:	how much more is the range extended with these NA-771 antennas
Answer:	As a whip? Not really. Other types; then yes. A Nelson Slim Jim is my favorite. String it up a tree 10' high and i can hit a repeater 60 miles away on 8W with a 5-9 (thats perfect) come back. With this 771 whip, i can hit a repeater 30 miles away with same results... But think of it as I live in florida and the higher the antenna, the better (less trees and buildings interfering). A beam antenna will concentrate signals one direction. My 3 el handi is what i use to pick up AMSAT chatter. So the word "best" is purely up to the task. I have this antenna on my UV-5RTP unless im backpacking or tracking. Compared to all whips, this one is my favorite. Get it.

Answer:	I put mine on a UV-5R . Less static and improved transmit and receive. I feel like I got a great deal. Perfect fit as well. Gave one to a friend. He loves it , improved his radios performance on a UV-9?.

Answer:	MURS is a VHF band, this antenna is too short to work well with that. It might get good SWR on UHF, but it's probably not going to be all that great on VHF. Get a Nagoya UT-72 ... make sure it's not a knock off. The ones at the BTECH store are genuine. I got mine there, and I can verify that SWR on my 4 year old one is under 1.5 in the MURS range.
