Use the Audacity software that's also provided on the CD in the package, then follow the instructions provided with the Audacity software, not the Audacity instructions in the manual provided in the package. That manual is useless. With a little effort, you can convert tapes to mp3s using Audacity.

Answer:	The cassette player itself is MAC compatible. The software that comes with it is not. You will need to use a free program called Audacity to use the cassette recorder with your MAC. Answer:	This rug pad works great for me. I have it under a fairly thick wool area rug in our living room. It is thin and I think it would work fine on the lower pile rug. We spend a lot of time on the floor and I find it comfortable and it doesn't slip at all, unlike our last pad. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes. Depending on the software you use,.... It comes with Audacity and you can also download Audacity online. I already had it so.... Using Audacity to record, it saves as an Audacity file. Again, using Audacity, you can then convert to wav, mp3, or other formats. It does not automatically record to mp3, it records as a digital file, not mp3. So to answer your question, once recorded as a digital file, you can convert to mp3, yes.
