Answer:	I really didn't notice that...it sounded like the "one" I played was ok...same with the "one" cassette I played...I was more interested in the playing 78 records I had and that didn't go too well....sent the original one back in 2 days as damaged...and that's the Tech's comment...then the replacement they sent...same problem with the phono process...sent it back the same day I received it....that's "O for 2". Mfg Tech said the answer should be turn the unit off...turn the traveling screw 1/4" clockwise, turn it back on and try...if that doesn't work, repeat the process but turn the screw 1/4" counter clockwise....did that 7 times, off, turn screw, turn unit on, etc. etc...no user should have to go through that process just to play a phonograph....as well as the directions stating "that screw is strictly for steading the turntable for shipping purposes...and ..has nothing to do with the operation of the unit".....apparently no told the Tech that. Very disappointed.

I own the Edifier R1280T Powered Speakers and they work beautifully with my Victrola 8 in 1. Anyone who says you can't use external speakers does not deserve to listen to music!

Answer:	Richard, generally, as I understand it, yes. You will be able to record your records to your PC hard drive. From there, you can convert your music files to whatever formats you prefer. For iTunes, I believe you can import them into iTunes and iTunes will automatically convert them to iTunes format as you import them. Question:	My husband just received this turntable as a Christmas gift. Any recommendations for a receiver that is compatible? Our old receiver is broken
Answer:	Basically any receiver/amp will work with this unit as long as the inputs are RCA jacks and that's pretty much all of them. Here's how it breaks down. All turntables require a pre-amp before the signal goes to the main amplifier. Most modern receivers do not have a dedicated slot for turntables any longer. So most turntables include the pre-amp built in. The switch for the pre-amp is on the back of the Audio Technica.* So if your receiver has a setting for "Phonograph", "Phono" or "Turntable" you're good to go. Just switch the pre-amp Off on the back of the turntable.* If your receiver doesn't have a setting for "Phonograph", or one of the a fore mentioned, then turn the switch On. That's it. Simple. Just be aware that should you buy a receiver without a "Phonograph" input you will loose the slot for whatever peripheral should go there. In my case I use an Onkyo CR-315 Shelf Unit. I plug my Audio Tecnica into the "Dock" slot. This is to be used with a special docking device that allows you to plug in an iPod. I know longer have this device, so no harm no fowl. If however I did have this device and needed to use it, I would constantly be switching between these two devices on my receiver. So just make sure you have enough inputs to avoid this potential hassle.Really, the only thing you need to look for on a receiver is to make sure it excepts inputs through RCA jacks and again, that's pretty much the standard. As to brand, that's up to you as far as your needs and budget.

Hopefully that answers your question! You can do the same to record to flashdrive from the radio or vinyl record. I have not tried recording from bluetooth or AUX to a flashdrive, but I imagine the process would be about the same.

Question:	What is the signal to noise ratio
Answer:	I'm not sure what the exact ratio is, but this turntable (at least mine) is NOT silent, in terms of mechanical noise. I can hear the motor running while standing in front of it, but I cannot hear it when I am sitting on the cough approx. 9 feet away. I have an old Acoustic Research XB, which is also a belt drive, that runs DEAD silent. If it weren't for the sound of the motor running, I'd like this table a lot more.
Question:	what cartridge is included
Answer:	Thanks very much for your question. This table comes with a moving-magnet Denon cartridge premounted to the headshell. The stylus used in this cartridge is DSN-85. World Wide Stereo is 38 years old and a proud, authorized Denon dealer.
Question:	Can the usb out be used to go to a computer for the purpose of ripping to a hard drive? thanks
Answer:	Yes, the USB can be used in computer.
Question:	Can you by-pass the pre-amp
Answer:	You do not have to use the built in preamp, there is an on/off button on the back of the turn table. If you turn the preamp off, you can plug the turn table into the actual PHONO stage of your integrated amp or receiver. This is how I am using it.

Answer:	Yes, it can be powered by a 5V/1A adapter, so when you take it to a trip, must be sure the power supply is DC 5V/1A, or it requires a connection with adapter, you can power it by a power bank with USB to DC-in cable, too.

How Does the USB/TF Card Work?

Recording:

1. Turn on the Power Switch and Insert your TF or USB card to slot. (NTFS format not supported)
2. Press “ M” button till enter into Phono mode.
3. Then press and hold the “M” button till the display shows ”rEC”, then press the button again.
4. You will hear 1 beep sound. It begins to record songs from Phono /Aux in /FM to USB or TF card.

Stop recording and play music.

1. Press and hold the “M” button till the display shows “STOP”.
2. Then press the button, you will hear 2 beep sound. It stop recording and save the recorded songs to USB or TF card as the last song.
3. Press “M" button till enter into USB or TF card mode to enjoy the recorded songs.

Answer:	The PLX-500 is ready to use straight out of the box thanks to its line output, which lets you plug it into your sound system or powered speakers with no need for an external amplifier. It is a great deck! Hope that this helps.

Answer:	yes. The plx 500 works with serato dj. You'll need a mixer with serato sound card/license or the add ons that allow you to connect to your computer. For the record, I love my plx 500. Just recorded my first vinyl record to digital format about an hour ago.
