The first Debut turntable, introduced in the late 1990s, was a revolution for the hi-fi industry. For the first time after the arrival of Compact Disc and the assumed demise of vinyl records, an analog product re-emerged in the "mass market" - something all music lovers could afford. The new Debut Carbon DC Record Player has been designed to set new standards in this category for the coming decade - perfectly timed as analogue today is again a respected source, while the demand for good turntables is growing again! The most obvious improvement is the inclusion of a carbon tube for the tonearm, which increases stiffness and decreases unwanted resonance. This material normally is extensively used in high-end tonearms, but - because of cost reasons - was never used in products at lower price levels. Together with other improvements like an increase in platter size and weight to realize even smoother rotation, the overall sound quality is greatly improved. The approved belt drive design offers low noise AC motor with effective motor decoupling (utilising TPE-damping) and ultra precision frequency DC-driven AC generator (like Speed Box) for ultimate speed stability without unwanted vibration.
- 8.6" carbon tonearm
- Increased platter size with more weight
- Precision belt drive with synchronous motor
- New Sorbothane motor suspension
- Ortofon OM10 cartridge
User questions & answers
Question: | What's the shipping dimension and weight of the package |
Answer: | I do t recommend the Dvc 4 ohm. Do the dual 2 ohm instead so you can wire to 2 ohm. Get the Rockford 1200.1 and run it on 2 ohms 880 rms |
Question: | How do you protect this against the dust? Doesn't it have a cover |
Answer: | I only have one P3, I bought a box with a vertical slot port on the left side of the box. A friend of mine has two kicker compRs, he has a dual slot ported box for his subs. His slot ports are on opposite ends of the face of the box. I would recommend that kind of box. The slot ports provide a lot of space for air travel. There are different setups with one big port in the middle. I personally would go with one like my buddy has where the ports are on opposite ends of the box. I think sound quality is be better like that instead of the one in the middle. Search on amazon for a dual slot ported box and you can see both types of boxes. I would also recommend wiring your subs as two ohm subs. Do this by taking some speaker wire +/- and linking the + to + and - to - connections on the speaker before putting the +/- connectors from the box. It doesn't matter after that where to put the + and - wires from the box to the speaker just make sure you always put + to+'s and - to -'s. Gives you more power. Good luck to you, make some noise!!! |
Question: | How is the cartridge on this turntable? I read that the one that comes on the cheaper usb model isn't as good as the Debut DC |
Answer: | I had 2 12's at one point, then upgraded to a solo 15, then had one 12" P3 in a smaller box. The solo 12 was almost as loud as the 15 and took up a lot less space. |
Question: | Does the arm return to rest after the record is finished playing |
Answer: | I am running a Fosgate T1000-1bdCP. Its a 1000w watt @ 2 OHMs. and i have both P3D4 subs Wired to a 2 OHM final. YouTube "how to wire 2 Dual 4 OHM voice coils to a 2 OHM final" if your wiring up your self... i also recommend a Ported box with at least 2 cu. ft per chamber nor 2 cu. ft per speaker i have this set up in a full 1 inch MDF hand made Labrynth slot port box and it SLAAAAAM! i also Listen to Mostly RAP so.... it suites fine for BASS |

RPM-1 Carbon utilizes a lot of innovations and enhancements: A low resonance chassis holds a newly designed inverted platter bearing with ceramic ball for further reduced rumble. An outboard 15V AC motor is smoothly driven using an ultra-precision AC generator with DC power supply for further enhanced speed stability. A completely new designed S-shaped tonearm tube is made from carbon fiber, aluminum and resin. Using a complex 3-step process with heat treatment and 100 bar pressure, arm tube rigidity is strengthened, internal damping is maximized and resonances are reduced to a minimum. This makes the tonearm also suitable for MC cartridges. Additional features are a new magnetic antiskating mechanism and a TPE-damped counterweight. All ingredients add up to a miracle in sound for the price an ultra-stylish look!

User questions & answers
Question: | I broke 1 of the 4 wires that connect to the cartridge when replacing the original one. Do you sell these wires or a something that could help fix it |
Answer: | Gotta look at the RMS for the amp and speakers I have a 600 watt power acoustik ran to my 2 in my truck and it sounds great |
Question: | Does this have auto return |
Answer: | Yes! If you are running a 4 ohm sub, wire it down to 2 ohms. That amp is not 1 ohm stable. I ran mine on the p500 x 1 bd, wired to 1 ohm and it took close to 750 watts with setting the gains right. |
Question: | Where is the elecrtrical cord to attach to an outlet. Where iare the wires to attach to an amplifier |
Answer: | Yes because boss amps rms not CEA certified.that amp might push 800watts.or less. |
Question: | Does it have an acrylic cover or something to protect it from dust |
Answer: | I have the Rockford Foagate R2- 750 watt with this sub in a ported box and it is a little too much power but sounds greate I believe the Rockford Foagate 500 watt would be perfect for this sub in my opinion but I like being able to turn it up a little more and not worrying about blowing my amp I probably should have bought the p3 instead but it works fine for right now |
