Answer:	Hi, ION Audio support here! Thanks for your question. Our Premier LP will connect to your Mac as a class compliant device and is suitable to use as a sound card on Mac OS 10.15 (Catalina). At this time, the supplied software (EZ Vinyl Tape Converter) is not yet supported on Catalina. With this said, workarounds of capturing and converting your records can be achieved with Apples free software GarageBand. Answer:	You can use it in both ways.
Question:	I have always owned belt drive turntables. I have read that direct drive can be noisy. How is this one as far as rumble
Answer:	My previous turntable was a very nice AR belt drive table, and I had the same concern about direct drive rumble. Not any more. The AT-LP120XUSB is dead silent. It sounds incredible.
Question:	So, since this turntable has a built in preamp, does this mean I can use passive speakers? Or do I need powered speakers
Answer:	No. You'll need powered speakers or you'll need to plug it into an amp to use passive speakers. "Preamp" = pre (before) amplifier. Preamps and phono amps take the very low signal from the stylus and amplify it to a level that an amplifier can use. AND (the reason record players need phono-specific preamps instead of a standard preamp) the preamp/phonoamp also decodes the RIAA format that all albums since the 1950s use, which is proprietary and needs a specific type of decoding to play the music.
Question:	Ok,..in plain english,...can i plug this tt into external speakers? that's all i want it for. if yes,...what type of speakers
Answer:	Yes you can... The turntable has a built-in preamp. You want to buy powered speakers. They sell tons of them now. The best I have heard were KRK powered speakers. To get a good idea of what’s available, check out the needledoctor or crutchfield websites.

Answer:	According to my wife, the player skips on old records showing scratches. Other than that it works fine. All our records are 40 + years old and even though in their sleeves the records do show a wave profile, which if wavy. enough could cause skip

Answer:	The Victrola Bluetooth Suitcase Turntable comes with one replacement needle in addition to the needle installed on the tonearm. Question:	Can you plug this into a large stereo receiver to use some better speakers
Answer:	Yes, I just hooked this up to my Kenwood receiver and it sounds fantastic. Do not hook this up to the Phono input on your receiver as it will overload the pre-amp and it will sound absolutely terrible. That is more for a higher end record player. I recommend hooking up to the auxiliary inputs on your receiver if you have them. If you do not have auxiliary inputs then try any other input other then phono. I have my player hooked to the "tape" inputs. I am playing Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and it sounds better then any CD I own, by far.

The PROFILE LP Turntable

The PROFILE LP is an LP-conversion system based on a multi-speed USB turntable. When not converting records, you can simply enjoy your classic vinyl records using PROFILE LP as a standard record player.

The belt-driven PROFILE LP features 33 1/3 and 45 RPM settings, a high-quality tonearm and cartridge, a raise/lower lever for the tonearm, and a standard RCA output (in addition to the USB port) for use with normal stereo setups.

USB-Enabled

The turntable has simple USB output that enables you to capture music from records onto your computer. No drivers are necessary, simply plug it in to your Mac or PC and the audio will be sent via the USB port.

Conversion Software Included

The PROFILE LP includes a software CD with EZ Vinyl Converter for PC (with auto track detection) and EZ Audio Converter for Mac. They are the simplest way to record and convert vinyl directly to iTunes. Before you know it, you'll be listening to songs you haven't heard in years in iTunes or on your iPod. Question:	Does the turntable play 78's
Answer:	You need a special kind of needle in addition to a turntable with the correct speed. 78 rpm records are made out of shellac, more fragile than vinyl and will be damaged by standard needles, and have a different-sized groove than 45 or 33. Also if you have mono vinyl records, many of them from before about 1960 have a different-sized groove than stereo records or the newer mono groove size. I sure hope you see this before finding out by accident.
Question:	Can I connect this turntable to a Smart tv or soundbar? I'm trying and nothing is working, but I can barely hear it through the turntable itself
Answer:	I don't know, but can you connect it to your computer, then connect the computer to the TV? I think it might need the software that comes with it, which you would only be able to have on a computer. Alternatively, you could record all the songs to mp3's, then just play the mp3 files.
Question:	Does it come with software or what does it play the music through
Answer:	Yes it comes with a CD software to install in your PC, besides You must connect the turntable to an amplifier or record player in order to listen music while recording. attention with the needle is too delicate , in fact mine is broken an i had to request for a new one
Question:	Can the output recording be burned onto a cd or is it strictly for MP3's
Answer:	After installing the ION software on your computer, and connecting the turntable (USB), you will be able to play your vinyl records through your computer sound system, and copy the music onto your hard drive in MP3 format. From there you can copy the MP3's onto a CD that should work in any CD player.
