Question:	What's the fastest it can do the dubbing
Answer:	I'm not sure because I haven't used that dubbing feature yet!
Question:	Does this deck have input for microphone? If so is it 1/4 inch or 3mm
Answer:	It just has a headphone jack (1/4 inch, or if you have an adapter, smaller size). I don't see a microphone input. You can record from CD or radio.
Question:	Does this deck let you press "ff" and "play" at the same time to automatically fast forward to and start the next song
Answer:	No. It's a very basic deck.
Question:	What are the size dimensions of this unit, width-length-depth
Answer:	I had to pull it out of the donations for Salvation Army box and then open to measure. It's length 16.5" X width 8.5" X height 5". I think it worked for a month or at the most 3 and then it just died. It no longer powers up and I'm no electrician. Such a waste of money. I'm thinking of it as an expensive rental.

Answer:	I have used both Audiicity and WavePad by NCH software. Both are free downloads, WavePad has somwhat better documentation/Help and can be upgraded to some pretty serious sofware.

Answer:	The width is 17" X depth 10 3/4" X height 5 3/4" (including air space of circular coasters)

Answer:	Unfortunately, this tape deck model doesn't have the seek function. I've seen Sony tape decks have that feature. Try a Goodwill or a Salvation Army store to purchase a used Sony tape deck. Good Luck Mary.
Question:	Does this unit record stereo (2 channel) MP3s from stereo cassettes, using Audacity as the sound program
Answer:	Windows controls whether you get mono (in "both" channels) or stereo. With the deck connected via USB, open Control Panel, Sound, pick your input, and set Windows to use 44.1kHz sampling 16-bit 2 channels. (USB defaults to 1 channel, but this is where you change it.)

Dual Cassette Transport

The dual twin-head decks can each be used for recording or playback, or can be used together. Recording and playback is supported on both decks. Additionally, TAPE 1 has pitch control and TAPE 2 has an RTZ (Return to Zero: return the counter to 0000) function.

Answer:	good morning!with this specific product you can only transfer from what was on a cassette tape to an MP3 file . You cant record the MP3 files and have them transferred to tape. I do apologize
Question:	I'm not sure if anyone has commented on this, Does it have automatic flip so you don't have to turn cassette over
Answer:	No it doesn't turn the cassette over automatically. Once placed in the ION the cassettes work from left to right. I find the instruction easy to follow, and once you have transferred side 1 of your tape to your computer, you simply turn take the tape out turn it round and place it back into the ION again follow the instructions again to then copy side 2 to your computer. I am 71 years of age and I find the ION Tape Express really easy to use.
Question:	I installed, and re-installed 3x time today because every time i go to open it,it tells me to install itunes, which i do, over and over. help
Answer:	I had the same problem. It appears that it is trying to install a version of iTunes that is outdated or that the current version of iTunes is not compatible/recognized by this converter. That is why I threw the one I bought in the trash. I did keep the headphones as this is the only useful part of, what is in my opinion, hunk of junk. My advise is to pitch it and consider what you paid an expensive lesson. I know I did.
Question:	I tried recording some tracks and thought it was working. But when I went to I tunes and tried to play them there was no sound. Any suggestions
Answer:	I know this is an old post, but thought I would add my two cents. I had the same issue. My computer showed that the item was recorded. I could see the levels on the speakers indicating the track was being played but still had no sound. I tried just unplugging the headphones from the Ion Tape Express per an earlier suggestion, but that didn't work either. I then unplugged the Ion from the computer, and bam! I had I sound. I think as long as the Ion is still connected via USB it is using that for playback. Once you unplug the USB it will play through computer. Hope that helps. I just transferred a track from a home recording that a friend and I did 22 years ago and it came out great!

Answer:	Unfortunately I do not have a dashboard that can do that since its a 99 Honda Accord. It plays as a tape for me and I control it from my phone, I set it to the car mode in all of those music apps on my phone. Hope that helps you.
Question:	does the cassette fit most cassette players
Answer:	Only for cars that have a cassette player were the side flap stays open. If you are trying to use it for a portible cassette palyer it will not work.

Answer:	I have another brand that does that. I leave it in and switch to FM to get it to stop. When I go back to tape it works properly without the clicking and ejecting.

Answer:	It should work with any smart phone. Think of it as your AUX input that is found in most new cars now days. The clarity will depend on the quality of your MP3 and your cassette player. As for the noise, I really cannot comment. I was using this device in a 2004 volvo s60, original equipment and did not experience any noise.
