Question:	I have always owned belt drive turntables. I have read that direct drive can be noisy. How is this one as far as rumble
Answer:	My previous turntable was a very nice AR belt drive table, and I had the same concern about direct drive rumble. Not any more. The AT-LP120XUSB is dead silent. It sounds incredible.
Question:	So, since this turntable has a built in preamp, does this mean I can use passive speakers? Or do I need powered speakers
Answer:	No. You'll need powered speakers or you'll need to plug it into an amp to use passive speakers. "Preamp" = pre (before) amplifier. Preamps and phono amps take the very low signal from the stylus and amplify it to a level that an amplifier can use. AND (the reason record players need phono-specific preamps instead of a standard preamp) the preamp/phonoamp also decodes the RIAA format that all albums since the 1950s use, which is proprietary and needs a specific type of decoding to play the music.

Answer:	A receiver with at least 50 watts per chanel will do fine, then plug your computer to the aux imput of the receiver. Make sure you use 12 Gauge wire to conect the speakers and get the best out of them. It´s Important to leave enough room from the speakers to the rear and side wall, to make the bass port and the rear tweeter reflect their sound towards the listener. If you are going to use them in a book shelf better get the 201 and a subwoofer like a polkaudio.
Question:	What is the range of frequency response
Answer:	You raise a good question since Bose does not publish frequency response charts (probably because the results are not as smooth or wide ranging as they would like). I expected some independent tests to be published but could not locate one for the 301s. I did find a French test on the Companion 2s, which are about the cheapest and smallest stereo speakers that Bose makes. That range was 40-20,000 +-6db. I would expect the 301s to be about the same range w/ slightly lower base +- about 3db but have no way to confirm or verify any numbers. As you probably know, the DB variance is a key factor in determining valid frequency response and any number without that variance can be misleading.

Answer:	No. You have the option to use an auxiliary cord for plug and play. It does have to stay with the computer if you use the auxiliary cord but the volume goes up pretty high and it has great sound.
Question:	How many Watts is it
Answer:	It does not have the capability of transmitting or receiving phone calls. You cannot use it to talk on the phone. However, notification tones coming from your phone will come through the speaker. If your streaming music through the speaker and you receive a phone call, the speaker automatically goes silent while you talk using your phone. Furthermore, I downloaded a graphic equalizer which works when I'm streaming YouTube. However, it doesn't work when I'm streaming live radio. The speaker's kind of heavy on the bass, but I listen to classical music a lot, and the heavy bass is welcome with that kind of music and makes the sound quite balanced.

Question:	Do these make that stethoscope sound when you hit the wires? I know the over ear ones don't
Answer:	They do. Not as much as some other in-ears I have tried, but for example more than the Bose SoundSport in ears that I have. I still prefer them to the over ear QC15/25 because they are so compact and I can sleep with them in a plane. The over ear ones will transmit sound if you lean on them when trying to sleep in a plane. I find the "stethoscope sound" to not be an issue in everyday use.

Answer:	You can plug your cinemate into this adapter and it will work. I have an old bose wave radio that I use the aux of the radio and it’s plugged into this adapter. I now get crystal clear internet Radio and I have used the Bluetooth function from my iPod to listen to podcasts along with great internet radio. We have a two story house so I purchased a Bose SoundTouch 10 speaker and it is connected to this adapter through WiFi. Answer:	Hmmm.....your question reveals that you don't yet know how this adapter works. Please make sure before purchasing how this works. You only need (one) adapter for your entire speaker system BECAUSE you plug the adapter into your receiver via optical or RCA connection. Your receiver must have either optical or RCA inputs. You will need to purchase the appropriate input cord to do so. If you use RCA connection you will need 3.5mm plug into dual RCA connectors. Easily found on Amazon. If you are using this on a computer media system you may have a 3.5mm input for audio. In that case a 3.5mm to 3.5mm plug is used. It is a wonderful adapter. I use it specifically to send digital music from my phone to my old school analog vintage stereo receivers.
