Connect your turntable to line-level devices. The AT-PEQ3 is an RIAA turntable preamplifier that is designed to convert a turntable’s phono-level output to an RIAA-equalized line-level signal for use with audio mixers, powered speakers, recording units, integrated amplifiers, computers, and other line-level devices. The RIAA preamp is a device that alters the signal from a turntable by applying an equalization curve and boosting the signal. When a record is cut, the low frequencies are reduced and high frequencies are boosted; on playback the opposite occurs (low frequencies are boosted and high frequencies are reduced). The RIAA filter in the AT-PEQ3 provides both the playback equalization and the signal amplification needed for line-level devices.
User questions & answers
Question: | Can this pre-amp be used between an integrated amp with a phono stage and the turntable to increase volume output? My volume output is terribly low |
Answer: | Dear customer, It is 50VAC meter and work for 50-60hz power supply. Best regards, DROK |
Question: | I've seen at-peq3 listed as both preamp and equalizer. what's the difference |
Answer: | No you need a DC version with shunt instead of pickup coil. |
Question: | Does the power adapter support 220V for europe |
Answer: | Yes. There is a spot on the back for two small power wires. |
Question: | How can you tell a moving magnate from a moving coil? My turntable is a 20 year old techniques about |
Answer: | all you do is put speakers up to it and trun on than you go to youer cell phone blueteeth on youre phone on and than trun up the mucis and than you have all you need |
Question: | What kind of amp and mixer do you recommend with these speakers |
Answer: | The system requires 3-4 amps of 12 to 24 volts and works with a DC barrel connector. If the electrical supply can provide that much power, it may be an option. Obviously check the current capacity of alternator/generator to ensure that you're not overloading it and draining the battery directly. The case does not have accessible screws, so getting into it may be a challenge if you intend to hard wire the power to it rather than using the barrel connector. If you are comfortable with electronics tear downs, you will have a chance. If not, breakage is a higher possibility. |
Question: | What amp and watts would be a good match for these speakers |
Answer: | You may have difficulty pairing multiple devices consecutively, previously paired devices may need to disable bluetooth to allow new devices to be detected by the unit. |
Question: | Can this be used with an iphone |
Answer: | I purchased the 50 watt amp with Base; however the equipment is designed to amplify sound and not video. Please note that the only input is audio auxillary and bluetooth. The output for banana plugs (gold) will go to your speakers for sound amplification only, (no video). The only way you may plug into TV is if the tv has a 1/8" audio aux. source (?). I am not sure if you can use Bluetooth (if tv is bluetooth ready) as a audio source. I hope my response helps you! |
Question: | Is this items durability a factor |
Answer: | Yes, they definitely are. Sorry for the late reply! |

User questions & answers
Question: | will arm return at end of album |
Answer: | no |
Question: | Do I need speakers for this item |
Answer: | You will need speakers and an amplifier or receiver. |
Question: | is this fully analog or does it convert to digital |
Answer: | Fully analog. |
Question: | What are the differences between this and the LP120X |
Answer: | The main differences are the MDF 40WN vs plastic plinth 120x, belt drive 40WN vs direct drive 120x, and the carbon fiber upgraded tone arm of the 40WN vs a low end tone arm 120x. Also theres no mention of there being a speed monitoring system for the motor of the 120x. The 120x has a plinth mounted led and a USB output that the 40WN doesn't if that's important. To sum it all up if your aim is to listen to records casually, you dont really care about the hifi, and you have no interest in upgrading the stylus cartridge then the 120x isnt a bad choice. Yes the 120x has the VM cartridges just the same as the 40WN but the tone arm of the 120x would need to be upgraded to really benefit from the change of the cartridge. Also you run into the possible motor vibration issues of direct drive that can affect the sound vs a usually preferred belt drive which isolates the turntable from the motor vibration. My opinion is to spend the extra $ and get the better turntable, the 40WN is much better looking to my taste as well. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I plug this turntable into powered speakers and have sound or do I need a receiver |
Answer: | You can use it in both ways. |
Question: | I have always owned belt drive turntables. I have read that direct drive can be noisy. How is this one as far as rumble |
Answer: | My previous turntable was a very nice AR belt drive table, and I had the same concern about direct drive rumble. Not any more. The AT-LP120XUSB is dead silent. It sounds incredible. |
Question: | So, since this turntable has a built in preamp, does this mean I can use passive speakers? Or do I need powered speakers |
Answer: | No. You'll need powered speakers or you'll need to plug it into an amp to use passive speakers. "Preamp" = pre (before) amplifier. Preamps and phono amps take the very low signal from the stylus and amplify it to a level that an amplifier can use. AND (the reason record players need phono-specific preamps instead of a standard preamp) the preamp/phonoamp also decodes the RIAA format that all albums since the 1950s use, which is proprietary and needs a specific type of decoding to play the music. |
Question: | Ok,..in plain english,...can i plug this tt into external speakers? that's all i want it for. if yes,...what type of speakers |
Answer: | Yes you can... The turntable has a built-in preamp. You want to buy powered speakers. They sell tons of them now. The best I have heard were KRK powered speakers. To get a good idea of what’s available, check out the needledoctor or crutchfield websites. |

Our VM95 Series dual moving magnet cartridges can be used almost forever by replacing the interchangeable stylus. User questions & answers
Question: | My audio technica only has 2 rca jacks. how can the connection be made |
Answer: | As long as your turntable has RCA inputs, this should work just fine. Hookup is simple and amplifier is easy to use. |
Question: | Will it work with a jvc la55 turn table |
Answer: | There is no on-off switch. The unit draws very little power from its wall-wart power supply which would remain powered-up even with the unit switched off. I recommend leaving it on or controlling it along with the other audio equipment. Powering it up while monitoring its output results in a loud "thump." |
Question: | Where would i plug this into my receiver? my denison receiver does not have phono plugs. it does have an aux, cd, and vcr though. which plug |
Answer: | You can't "hurt" anything with any of these settings. Of course, you want to use the 'phono' or direct output of the turntable, not the 'line level' or amplified output. just try the 100pf (I think this is more 'standard') and listen for a while. Then try the 200pf setting and see if it sounds better. I think the effects would be mainly small, possibly none. |
Question: | Will this work with the U-Turn Orbit |
Answer: | Yes, you need a preamp to drive the aux channel on your amp. This one work great. |

Fresh Sound for Vintage Record Players
The GOgroove phono preamp boosts your turntable's phono audio level up to a more speaker/stereo receiver-friendly line level, giving you better volume and increased sound quality. If you're planning on hooking up your turntable to a computer, stereo receiver, bookshelf speakers or any other modern audio equipment, you're going to want this preamp to get the high sound quality that you expect from vinyl.
Modernize Your Equipment
You'll want the preamp to connect to the phono output of the turntable and the line input of the receiver/speakers. And even newer turntables that may feature a built-in preamp probably aren't going to give you the highest quality sound that could be achieved from an external preamp.
Clear Sounding Audio
Complete with RIAA equalization which recognizes that the phono preamp creates smooth equalization for balanced, clear audio. Helps limit distortion and for the best quality sound, make sure to securely plug in all cables.
Quick, Easy Setup
You don't need to be a sound engineer or techie to understand this preamp's setup process. It takes only a minute to power up the preamp with it's included 12 Volt DC Adapter. After that , it's just a matter of using RCA cables (NOT INCLUDED) to hook the preamp to both your turntable and your stereo receiver, speakers or other audio device.

Question: | power |
Answer: | Hi, this massage device with heat function. You will get relax when you put it on you neck. I use a computer a lot, so I have started using it on a computer sitting in a chair, which provides deep massage to my back and reduces tension. Any pulse massager will produce a slight pain at the beginning of use. The feeling of being charged varies from person to person but it is safe to use. After each massage, I feel very relaxed. It will be a perfect gift for those who complain of neck soreness. All in all, an excellent product. Definitely recommend! |
