10 best audio technica mp3 players

Audio-Technica is primarily known for its high-quality audio equipment, including turntables and headphones, but it doesn't manufacture standalone MP3 players. However, we can provide you with information on general MP3 players and how they relate to audio systems and electronics:

  1. MP3 Player Basics: An MP3 player is a portable electronic device designed for playing digital audio files in the MP3 format. These devices can store and play a wide range of audio files, making them suitable for music playback on the go.

  2. Storage Capacity: MP3 players come with varying storage capacities, ranging from a few gigabytes to hundreds of gigabytes. The capacity determines how many songs and audio files can be stored on the device.

  3. Audio Formats: While MP3 players are named after the MP3 format, most modern players support a variety of audio formats, including MP3, AAC, FLAC, WAV, and more. This versatility allows users to play different types of audio files.

  4. User Interface: MP3 players feature user-friendly interfaces with menus, screens, and controls for easy navigation and song selection. Some have touchscreen displays, while others use physical buttons or a combination of both.

  5. Audio Quality: The audio quality of an MP3 player depends on its digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and audio output capabilities. High-quality MP3 players can deliver excellent sound, especially when paired with high-end headphones or audio systems.

  6. Storage and Expansion: Many MP3 players offer expandable storage options through microSD card slots, allowing users to increase the device's capacity.

  7. Battery Life: Battery life varies among MP3 players. Some models can play music for hours on a single charge, making them suitable for long trips or extended listening sessions.

  8. Connectivity: MP3 players typically feature USB ports for data transfer and charging. Some also support wireless connectivity, such as Bluetooth, enabling users to connect wireless headphones or speakers.

  9. Audio Output: MP3 players can output audio through a headphone jack, allowing users to listen privately with headphones or connect to external audio equipment like home audio systems or car stereos.

  10. Additional Features: Some MP3 players may include extra features like FM radios, voice recording capabilities, customizable playlists, and support for audiobooks and podcasts.

  11. Compatibility: MP3 players can be used with various audio equipment, including home audio systems, car stereos, and portable speakers. They are versatile devices for enjoying music in different environments.

While Audio-Technica doesn't manufacture standalone MP3 players, you can consider their headphones or turntables as part of your audio setup to enhance the listening experience with the audio quality they offer. To use an MP3 player with your audio system, you may need appropriate cables or adapters to connect the player's headphone output to the input of your audio equipment.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this turntable have built in speakers, or must you have external speakers? could i play it through an ultimate ears boom 3 bluetooth speaker
Answer: For better sound, external speakers are recommended.I bought 2 speakers last month, the sound quality I think is really good , clear and smooth .you can get my speakershere:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XTDNGZW?ref=myi_title_dp
Question: What’s the difference lp60xbt-bk and the lp60bk-bt
Answer: The "X" line is the newest line of Audio-Technica turntables. The LP60X is an update of the popular AT-LP60, the ATLP60X features a redesigned tonearm base and headshell to improve tracking and reduce resonance. Noise is further reduced by the inclusion of an AC adapter that moves the AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis where its impact on the signal chain is limited.
Question: Weight of needle on record? One oz or does it kill records
Answer: I don't know the weight of the needle, but this record player killed my 3 records, rubbish
Question: Does the arm/needle damage the vinyls in such a way as the cheap $50 briefcase style vinyls players? Can I upgrade if need be
Answer: All turntables degrade the performance of vinyl media. The better the counterbalance of the weight of the tonearm, the slower the degradation. The direct contact between the stylus and the grooves in the disk is abrasive. A heavy tonearm is like 100 grit sandpaper and a light tonearm is like 600 grit. I transfer all my LPs to tape and CD. Most of my LPs have only been played two or three times in decades. Limited use and proper storage keeps my collection pristine.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I plug this turntable into powered speakers and have sound or do I need a receiver
Answer: You can use it in both ways.
Question: I have always owned belt drive turntables. I have read that direct drive can be noisy. How is this one as far as rumble
Answer: My previous turntable was a very nice AR belt drive table, and I had the same concern about direct drive rumble. Not any more. The AT-LP120XUSB is dead silent. It sounds incredible.
Question: So, since this turntable has a built in preamp, does this mean I can use passive speakers? Or do I need powered speakers
Answer: No. You'll need powered speakers or you'll need to plug it into an amp to use passive speakers. "Preamp" = pre (before) amplifier. Preamps and phono amps take the very low signal from the stylus and amplify it to a level that an amplifier can use. AND (the reason record players need phono-specific preamps instead of a standard preamp) the preamp/phonoamp also decodes the RIAA format that all albums since the 1950s use, which is proprietary and needs a specific type of decoding to play the music.
Question: Ok,..in plain english,...can i plug this tt into external speakers? that's all i want it for. if yes,...what type of speakers
Answer: Yes you can... The turntable has a built-in preamp. You want to buy powered speakers. They sell tons of them now. The best I have heard were KRK powered speakers. To get a good idea of what’s available, check out the needledoctor or crutchfield websites.

User questions & answers

Question: will arm return at end of album
Answer: no
Question: Do I need speakers for this item
Answer: You will need speakers and an amplifier or receiver.
Question: is this fully analog or does it convert to digital
Answer: Fully analog.
Question: What are the differences between this and the LP120X
Answer: The main differences are the MDF 40WN vs plastic plinth 120x, belt drive 40WN vs direct drive 120x, and the carbon fiber upgraded tone arm of the 40WN vs a low end tone arm 120x. Also theres no mention of there being a speed monitoring system for the motor of the 120x. The 120x has a plinth mounted led and a USB output that the 40WN doesn't if that's important. To sum it all up if your aim is to listen to records casually, you dont really care about the hifi, and you have no interest in upgrading the stylus cartridge then the 120x isnt a bad choice. Yes the 120x has the VM cartridges just the same as the 40WN but the tone arm of the 120x would need to be upgraded to really benefit from the change of the cartridge. Also you run into the possible motor vibration issues of direct drive that can affect the sound vs a usually preferred belt drive which isolates the turntable from the motor vibration. My opinion is to spend the extra $ and get the better turntable, the 40WN is much better looking to my taste as well.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I load my albums into itunes
Answer: You bet --- once you digitize your albums and have them in MP3 format, you can import the into iTunes as you would any other music.
Question: Can I play a record to my computer and burn a cd, also does the software come with this unit. Thankyou
Answer: Once you've transferred the vinal to digital you can burn a cd or use it the way any digital items are used. The software is a separate FREE download. The instructions are included.
Question: Will I be able to transfer music to my iTunes library
Answer: Richard, generally, as I understand it, yes. You will be able to record your records to your PC hard drive. From there, you can convert your music files to whatever formats you prefer. For iTunes, I believe you can import them into iTunes and iTunes will automatically convert them to iTunes format as you import them. If there is a more direct method to record them to iTunes, I'm not aware of it. Hope this helps! Skip
Question: My husband just received this turntable as a Christmas gift. Any recommendations for a receiver that is compatible? Our old receiver is broken
Answer: Basically any receiver/amp will work with this unit as long as the inputs are RCA jacks and that's pretty much all of them. Here's how it breaks down. All turntables require a pre-amp before the signal goes to the main amplifier. Most modern receivers do not have a dedicated slot for turntables any longer. So most turntables include the pre-amp built in. The switch for the pre-amp is on the back of the Audio Technica.* So if your receiver has a setting for "Phonograph", "Phono" or "Turntable" you're good to go. Just switch the pre-amp Off on the back of the turntable.* If your receiver doesn't have a setting for "Phonograph", or one of the a fore mentioned, then turn the switch On. That's it. Simple. Just be aware that should you buy a receiver without a "Phonograph" input you will loose the slot for whatever peripheral should go there. In my case I use an Onkyo CR-315 Shelf Unit. I plug my Audio Tecnica into the "Dock" slot. This is to be used with a special docking device that allows you to plug in an iPod. I know longer have this device, so no harm no fowl. If however I did have this device and needed to use it, I would constantly be switching between these two devices on my receiver. So just make sure you have enough inputs to avoid this potential hassle.Really, the only thing you need to look for on a receiver is to make sure it excepts inputs through RCA jacks and again, that's pretty much the standard. As to brand, that's up to you as far as your needs and budget.
Question: Any recommendations for speakers i can hook directly into the rca jack? i want something with great sound that is similar to a portable speaker
Answer: Hi, Mine speakers' sound is great. you can buy with the link:https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Udreamer+Bookshelf+Speaker&me=A20PPATB6ITV8T&ref=nb_sb_noss&field-asin=B07XMND1QS
Question: Is there any way to tell if it is recording? i have tried fat32 usbs (as cust svc indicated) and an sd card-nothing. i don't know if it is recording
Answer: I wondered the same thing. I haven't used it lately, but I remember a blinking icon when it was recording. I'll set mine up and look again.
Question: does this convert cassette to mp3 files
Answer: Hi, it could convert cassette tape to mp3 file.
Question: can you record from the tape
Answer: Yes, you can play your favorite cassettes and record them to a USB/FlashDrive. Note, if you want to have separate tracks, you will need to press record before and after each song; otherwise you will just have 1 long track that includes all songs on one side of the tape. Hopefully that answers your question! You can do the same to record to flashdrive from the radio or vinyl record. I have not tried recording from bluetooth or AUX to a flashdrive, but I imagine the process would be about the same.

Answer: Lp60x is the newer model.. there are some aesthetic changes, DC conversation happens in the plug now, the o/p is a 3.5mm aux jack with a aux to rca cable(instead od the other way around in 60) that's what I found when I was researching on it. There might be some internal changes too

Answer: Yes. Needs an amp and speakers.
Question: Do you needle for this product
Answer: The need comes with the product. I bought this as a gift for my mother.
Question: What does ‘fully automatic’ mean exactly
Answer: A fully automatic turntable will queue and play the record itself with the push of one button as well as return the tonearm on it's own once the record is finished playing.

User questions & answers

Question: Can you use other headphones with this turntable
Answer: I use it & likely alot.
Question: Powered speakers required to listen
Answer: Sure...BUT I WOULD NOT DO IT. Hard to get off once resin is dried, so you are sacrificing your Frother for coffee and beverages- which is the primary purpose.
Question: How can I turn off the turntable built in speaker? It’s still on even with headphones
Answer: I don't know the size of your 2 oz. bottle but the whisk on the stirrer is 7/8 inch in diameter.
Question: Is the tonearm replaceable
Answer: Afraid not
Question: Anyone using for crafts, esp resin
Answer: The description is misleading - it is battery operated - it only takes 20-30 seconds to froth your milk or mix your protein shake using a up and down motion on you turn the frothed on.
Question: Does this turn OFF after using on low speed or does it cycle thru medium and high (and make a big mess ) when frothing milk for coffee
Answer: Yes, IF you can clean off all the resin.

Product features

2 in 1 milk frother

1. Easy to disassemble, clean and carry electric mixer, 3 speeds can be adjusted.

2. The milk frother is ergonomically designed, comfortable to grip and easy to use.

3. High-quality food-grade stainless steel electric whisk, safe, high-quality, durable and heat-resistant.

4. The milk frother can be used for various cream dipping materials, baking ingredients, coffee, etc. It can also be used as a foaming agent for coconut milk, almond milk and nut milk.

Note:

1. Do not immerse the milk frother in water. Only wash the part of the stir bar.

2. The milk frother is not a toy, please do not let children touch it to avoid injury.

3. The mixing time is usually within 5 minutes, too long time will damage the performance of the milk frother and the life of the battery.

The detachable RCA output cable (3.5 mm male to dual RCA male) and built-in switchable phono preamp allow the turntable be connected to components with and without a dedicated phono input. Like the AT-LP60X, the AT-LP60XHP features a redesigned tonearm base and headshell to improve tracking and reduce resonance. The ATH-250AV headphones are equipped with 40 mm drivers for clear mid- and low-frequency reproduction. The lightweight construction and comfortable, isolating earpads allow you to listen for as long as you like, and the 3.5 m (11.5') cable gives you plenty of flexibility.

User questions & answers

Question: Can an additional component (e.g., CD player) be connected to the speakers
Answer: Hello, the item is wireless transmitter and receiver. The signal transmiss from transmitter to receiver. It needn't to connect the cable. Kindly note: Please considerate the transmission distance when you use.
Question: Does turntable have a headphones jack
Answer: The item not support HD camera. For other camera, you only need a camera which is with RCA port. You could see the below link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074V5LKN3/
Question: Does it do Bluetooth? Is there a headphone jack on the record player? Can you hook up to your computer to import music
Answer: Yes. The signal sending unit gets very hot. I mounted mine to a piece of 1 ½” square tubing (with some holes drilled through the tubing) to act as a heat-sink. I have not noticed any heat issues with the signal receiving unit. I hope this helps you.
Question: Looks good but a sperate amplifier would need to be purchased in order to have the speakers connected and working
Answer: Our product always keeps same with the picture. Kindly note: due to the light influence, I could not ensure the product color is the same as one hundred percent on the picture.
