User questions & answers

Question: Dose it work at 220 volt
Answer: It will work. It’s 100-240V
Question: Is it support voltage 100~240V
Answer: Yes
Question: is this product working from 220 voltage
Answer: It will work. It’s 100-240V
Question: What kind of cable do i need to make this work with klipsch the sixes speakers
Answer: If this speaker follows the usual Klipsch subwoofer convention, you just need a single cable with RCA/phono/coaxial plugs at both ends. You have to plug it into the jack labeled "L/LFE". If you are sending separate left and right subwoofer signals, then this jack is for the left signal. If you just have one signal, then it treats it as a single LFE signal; that is, like the ".1" part of 5.1 or 7.1 audio. If the jack is simply labeled "L", then you might need an RCA jack to two RCA plugs Y adapter. For a definitive answer, look in the manual, but I suspect that it will handle a common subwoofer signal on the left jack like previous Klipsch subwoofers.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this a powered sub? And how many watts does it have
Answer: Hi Mike, I saw your question and wanted to give you the correct answer. The phase switch determines the way the subwoofer cone ( speaker ) reacts. When set to "0" the speaker cone will move in the outward direction at the same time ( phase ) of your main ( left & Right ) speakers. When it is set to "180" the speaker cone of the sub will move inward when your main speakers' cones are moving outward. What this does is cancel out any overlapping frequencies between your main speakers and your subwoofer. When you have overlapping frequencies between your sub and main speakers you will get too much or "bloated" mid bass. Some people prefer "180" because they feel the cancelled out frequencies produces "tighter" and more accurate bass. Other people like more mid bass, so you need to listen to it both ways to find which you prefer. The same thing will happen if you hook up speakers with the speaker wires hooked up with positive & negative swapped ( positive speaker wire in the negative speaker terminal and negative speaker wire in the positive speaker terminal ). Just as an added note, the "Low Pass" filter knob will determine what lower frequencies pass through from your receiver to your subwoofer. The higher the frequency (Hz) the more mid bass the sub outputs and the lower the frequency (Hz) the less mid bass that the subwoofer outputs. You want the subwoofer to optimally blend with your main speakers and that is what the "low pass" filter knob allows you to do. If you are using a surround sound receiver and it is set for Dolby Digital or DTS surround modes receivers will normally automatically crossover the sub output at 80 Hz, so moving the Low pass knob on the sub beyond 80 Hz will have no effect. Now, if you have a surround receiver that utilizes the Audyssey Microphone system to adjust the surround parameters you will want to set the subwoofers low pass knob all the way to the highest frequency. The Adyssey system will determine what frequency blends best with your main speakers. Hope this is helpful.
Question: What gain setting do you have your subwoofer set to? I want as much bass as possible from my audio sources (tv, games, movies, etc
Answer: Yes, there is base and treble adjustment, as well as Vizio truVolume adjustment. We have two of these, I have been impressed with the richness of the sound on this particular model.
Question: Are the surrounds foam or rubber...getting tire of foam
Answer: yes , it will right out of the box.
Question: What does the phase toggle do? I read ther manual, but it didn't explain it in a manner I could understand
Answer: This sound bar uses Bluetooth version 4.1.

User questions & answers

Question: Does it have international warranty
Answer: Our subwoofers carry a warranty shown at klipsch.com/warranty-subwoofers. The warranty service if needed would be provided in the country where the item is purchased.
Question: how does it compare to the R-115sw? What are the differences
Answer: These two models are the same in spec and technology. R-115SW being the older model and SPL-150 being the newer model in the same position in our subwoofer line up. The main differences are the finish and that the SPL-150 has feet instead of the plinth used on the older model R-115SW.
Question: china? or Hope Arkansas
Answer: Klipsch designs and engineers all of our products in the United States. For more than 70 years, we have continued to proudly build many of our speakers lines at our factory in Hope, Arkansas This particular product was assembled in China. We assure you – it rocks!
Question: I have a klipsch r-110sw subwoofer - can i add this sub next to it, or should i simply replace it with this sub
Answer: If your amp has 2 subwoofer outputs......you certainly could have one on the left and one on the right......but the spl15 is a powerhouse......I have a dennon receiver And my basement is 2700 sq ft with a solid 1500sq ft of open space and the spl15 literally rocks the whole basement and shakes everything in my 2800 sq ft upstairs...... including the window blinds. This is at about half volume!!! I would go with one spl15 or 2 spl10 subs.

User questions & answers

Question: I have 2 subs for 5 yrs now! All the connections are fine, but there not thumping! What’s wrong
Answer: Depends on what you mean by “not thumping.” If they’re not making any sound at all, it could be the receiver output if they used to work and suddenly both stopped. If they’re just quieter than normal and you’re missing that punch that comes with things like explosions or bass drums, you have a few options: 1. Your receiver, streaming device, and/or tv may have an option called “Night Mode” or “reduce loud sounds” essentially muffling volume spikes to avoid disturbing others nearby, 2. For some reason your receiver may have turned down the output volume of the subs to a much lower level than you had before, or even glitched and removed the subs from your setup so it’s not even sending out a signal at all, 3. The bass/treble of the receiver could have been adjusted to dampen the bass, or 4. The physical knobs on the back of your subs could have been adjusted turning down the volume, or the passthrough was set so low there’s a gap between what your mains put out and where your subs pick up the low end (ie. your main L&R channels only go down to 100hz and your subs are set to not put out anything above 50hz). These options get progressively less likely and would require either settings being changed or physical aspects of the subs to be adjusted; however, these are also the easiest fixes. You might be looking at needing new subwoofer cables, after five years the amps on the subs may have gone out (east to find replacements on eBay or contact Klipsch directly), or—as I said in the beginning—your “sub out” port(s) on the receiver may have given out. Good luck!
Question: what is the difference between the R-115sw and the SPL
Answer: Age. The R-115sw was phased out as they began releasing the SPL-150. They are essentially the same apart from price and age at this point. Slightly different cabinet build, but I don’t even think they really upgraded the amp that powers it.
Question: Is power only 110 volts or is there a switch to power 220 volts
Answer: Only works in 110/120V power grids. This RSA-500 does not have switching Voltage.
Question: I can connect to just one rw-5802 right? I realize that's two subs but one enclosure
Answer: Each RW-5802 drives 2 subs. You can connect as many RW-5802's as your your amp or pre amp will handle. For example if you choose to use the built in crossover of your amp you will have 1 or 2 sub outputs. You can also route from your speaker outputs to the RW-5802 to us the 5802 cross over to subs then the rest of the signal can continue on to your speakers. Depends on how creative you want to get.
Question: Can you connect 2 or more SubWoofers
Answer: It will handle 2

User questions & answers

Question: I'm considering 4 of these rp112sw. Can i plug one into the other? I only have 2 ports in my sr
Answer: Since subs aren't right and left, you can just buy a splitter and send 2 signals out of each port. Mediabridge should have those cables.
Question: Hi ya'll, what is your subwoofer db set on your reciever? what setting is your low pass knob on, behind the subwoofer? lfe? thank you
Answer: Thanks for your question. The settings vary room-to-room, set-up to set-up. There is no single perfect setting. World Wide Stereo is 37 years old and a very proud Klipsch dealer.
Question: when hooked up to a good reciever can this Klipsch 12 pound
Answer: I own this R-112SW installed in a 6..1 Klipsch Reference Premiere arrangement. This sub is a BEAST. I also have my best system installed in my master bedroom. It is a 7.2.4 all Klipsch Reference Premiere setup using two of the larger more powerful R-115SW subs and while I love that system to death I would say that especially for music the R-112SW has tighter bass and sounds spectacular. The R-115SW's are killer as well and a bit better (but not much) for movies. I cannot imagine anyone not being completely blown away by the performance of either of these subs. Know also that these subs all have built in powerful amps and will not tax your AVR/Receiver in any way.
Question: I have a large theater in my house would 2 R-112SW subwoofers work better than
Answer: When it comes to drivers, especially subs which require a fair amount of displacement for sub frequencies (less for a ported setup like this), more is always better. Larger (more cone area) with all else being equal is always better for sound quality and output. The more power you put into the sub, the more distortion. The farther the sub has to move (excursion), the more distortion it produces. Having a second identical sub means LESS THAN HALF the power and excursion for the same output due to coupling which increases efficiency (the amount of power you will require) and decreases distortion. I competed in car audio sound quality competition and I used 2x 16” subs that rarely got cranked up any louder than a single 10” was capable of but they were so efficient and distortion was so low. At 1mm of excursion, a single 10” would be moving a couple inches for the same output with a ton of power required. My home system was 4x 15” (Acoustic Elegance) and both the home and car were infinite baffle. I can go on for days but would two of these work better than one, absolutely yes, for efficiency and for sound quality. Do you need a pair vs a single, would you be able to hear a difference, it depends on a lot of things but probably not unless you’re really serious about your sound quality and if you’re going to push the single driver really hard. Don’t forget that with a sealed setup, it requires 4x more displacement to go an octave lower at the same volume. Getting that displacement from more cone area vs excursion will reduce distortion and increase efficiency. With a ported speaker like these it’s a little more complicated but you get the point. Don’t forget, a single 15” sub has about 1.7x more cone area than a 12” and a single 12” is going to have about 1.3-1.5x more cone area than a 10”. And before anyone says it, no, a 15 is not “slower”, “boomer”, or “sloppier” than a 12, 10, or 8” sub. No myths please. A single 15 in this case might have been a good idea when cost is factored in but this is 2 years old (yes, I’m bored) and I’m sure the OP is happy with his purchase.
