Answer:	Yes, assuming you hook them up correctly!. I have some 70's vintage Technics speakers running on it just fine.

Answer:	Disconnect your input source to the amplifier. If the noise goes away, then it's coming from the source and not the amplifier. If the noise continues, disconnect all inputs. If you hear the noise, the problem is likely the amplifier.
Question:	is there a way to hook up to a new flat screen tv to run a set of external speakers
Answer:	You asked this a while ago, so I'm guessing you've found out by now. This receiver does not have HDMI or Optical inputs, only RCA inputs. Most new TVs no longer come with RCA out, but many have a headphone output. If your TV has a headphone output, you can get a headphone to RCA adapter and use that to connect to this receiver.
Question:	Can I run an RCA cord from my TV to this amp? The input/output schematic does not show a TV
Answer:	All 3 inputs are RCA, just pick one :) Just because it says "CD" or "Aux" doesn't specifically mean you must use that device, RCA is RCA. However, I wouldn't recommend purchasing it. Mine died (non smoking house, didn't overheat or push it too far) within 1 month of use. I decided to go with the Dayton Audio APA150, which has been a workhorse since day 1 with no issues and much better consumer ratings than this Pyle of junk. Happy hunting.

Question:	Does it come with an amp
Answer:	Yest the amp itself is powered but I unnecessarily power it first with a little Sound appeal 50Wx2 amp I ordered with it also from Amazon that I had previously and it does the job very well, With a couple of small speakers it beats any soundbar or docking speaker. You do not need one. I just have it to plug my phone in.
Question:	i will be using this sub for 2 channel stereo. Do i run an additional set of speaker wire from my speakers to the high level R&L inputs of the sub
Answer:	I believe you run the speaker wire from your stere to the high level R&L inputs and the high level outputs speaker wire to the speakers you're using. But I think if you use the RCA red and white plug from your stereo to the subwoofer, u don't need to use the speaker wire. It's one or the other. I haven't been using my subwoofer do to some construction work, but I believe that's how I have it connected. Hope that helps.
Question:	I want to use this for my rear center speaker. I only have the two speaker wires coming from the receiver. How or can I use this for this purpose
Answer:	You'll get some really weird effects from a subwoofer at the rear. Generally, you want a subwoofer at the front of the room, best if near the center but not imperative. Bass is somewhat non-directional, but coming from behind will give some very strange effects. You want your subwoofer working acoustically in conjunction with your front R, L and Center speakers.
Question:	Can a 42" flat screen tv be placed on top of this cabinet? Or better yet, can it be placed under the tv
Answer:	I would strongly suggest keeping the box and tv separate. This sun is not 'shielded'. A unshielded speaker will cause electromagnetic interference and possibly damage the tv.

Answer:	With the foam inside ... about 1 to 1.5 cubic feet.

Answer:	Yes you can fit it in there. That is why I bought it. We already cut the holes and then we realized we created a noise problem upstairs. What you will do is roll the Dynamat length wise like a rubber mat. Then you fit it into the hole and when it is in the hole you let it unravel and it fills the speaker cavity. The key question is how big is the cavity behind your 8" hole? You might need to reposition the hole to work with your home.

Answer:	You can use any ipod that has a 30pin connector. that would be Ipod Classics (all), Ipod Touch 1st gen-4th gen, Ipod Nano 1st gen-6th gen. The latest models (Touch 5th gen, Nano 7th gen) have Lightning connectors and would not work. You'd have to get an adaptor.

Answer:	So I have an iPhone 5, but I have to use the 30 pin connector to lightening adapter to make it work. The device itself has a 30 pin connector. I didn't have a problem with this, because I have the 3rd generation iPad which is still a 30 pin connector. Other than that it works pretty good.

Answer:	No speaker for this type of installation is going to provide significant bass, and it isn't necessary to have the bass emanating from the walls or ceiling anyway since bass frequencies are non-directional. I'd add a freestanding subwoofer to your setup. If you're still concerned about the situation in the ceiling, you could always shorten the depth of the cavity with a piece of plywood with caulking to seal the gaps, but I don't believe it would do a whole lot for you.

Answer:	There is no difference in for the install if you mount speakers in the wall or ceiling.

Answer:	I think so. They mount with a screw and clamp. The screw is accessible behind the removable front grill. The speaker comes with a template so you know what size to cut out in the wall or ceiling. After you insert the speaker into the recess, as you turn the screw, it tightens the clamp onto drywall, securing it in place. Although it is designed for drywall, I think it will work on anything with approximately the same thickness (~3/4 inch thick).

Answer:	This is a good question to ask Polk direct. When you receive this system out of the box, It's already program from the factory to react within it'self. In the instruction that comes with the system it does mention these codes can be change. Be safe and ask the pro's who design the system.

Answer:	After struggling and struggling with this same feature (I live in a college town. The college kids were using the unsecured hotspot created by the magnifi to make wifi telephone calls, thus blocking my phone and using up all my router bandwidth ) I found a solution. I unplugged the magnifi, put it in a box, and threw it in the town dump. I then went out and bought a new sound bar that cost 1/2 as much as the Polk that could only be updated when I specifically wanted to update it. I found this to be the perfect solution to a problem the polk WILL NOT fix, WILL NOT assist the customer when asked for help either thru their customer support or their technical support. Now I go around telling anyone who will listen the absolute truth about the lack of support I got from polk. You can do this also.

Question:	What in your opinion is the best power setting for normal use, "on" or "auto" for this unit
Answer:	I would say depends if you use the item everyday/constantly as your sound for your surround. Or if you use surround/theater occasionally. If the latter I would use `on/off` , if you use it often or primarily the auto would be the way to go in my opinion. Plus is the sub easy to get to? Auto is great if its behind furniture or out of reach,etc.

Answer:	Just to clarify something a previous reviewer stated: "Note: If you are using a Sub out/LFE connection from your receiver turn the Low Pass all the way up. " This does not apply to receivers with which you can specify the low-pass cutover frequency. For example, my modest Onkyo receiver has cutover settings of 80/100/120 HZ for the LFE/Sub output. If you have this option, you should consult your main speaker's manual for suggested low-pass settings or simply tune them by ear. For my setup, 120 HZ was both the recommended and best-sounding cutover frequency. 160 HZ was a little muddy :)

Answer:	Like John, I too have a Vizio 2.0 sound bar and this pairs very well. I have a small theater room (10 x 20) and this one 10" fills the room. This sub is the best bang for the buck you can get.
Question:	Do I need a Y-adpater? A sound tech told me one sub wire would do the trick and just plug it into the L and ignore the R. Is this true
Answer:	Initially, used a one wire connection. Sounded OK, but .... Got a "Y" connector, attached at the rear of the amp, ran L & R wires to the PSW10: sounds amazing now and very adjustable. Need to get the PSW12 to get a one wire connection. Am very satisfied with this sub and would recommend it. Used in a 12' X 20' room, front/back/center and now the sub. Tom

The subwoofer handles frequencies between 50 Hz to 250 Hz and includes adjustable crossover frequency and volume balance controls.
• Also included in the box are four C brackets for mounting the satellite speakers to the wall and the necessary hardware for mounting the speakers to the brackets. A pair of plastic feet to properly orient the face of the center speaker is also included. Note that you will need to provide your own hardware for mounting the C brackets to the wall or other vertical surface.

Answer:	Any stand will work. I purchased wall mounts for my surround speakers.
Question:	Could I use this with a receiver and what would I need to do to get it to work correctly
Answer:	It will work with any 80-100w/ channel receiver. Connect using banana plugs and 14 gauge speaker wire. Make sure to get the woofer spreaker cable with a Y splitter. Monoprice website sells all the cables you need at a great price. Better than amazon
Question:	Could anyone recommend a set of towers to make this a 7.1 system
Answer:	I would definitely agree. Monoprice sells a set of two of the speakers separately for use on their own as a 2 channel system or as an add on to this 5.1 system to make it 7.1. They even sell the subwoofer separately as well if you ever want to upgrade to a true 7.2 system. Then everything will be perfectly matched. Make sure to get the correct set of two Premium Monoprice speakers. Monoprice also sells a lower quality standard 5.1 surround sound system and a set of two extras of that type as well. If you have the correct set, they will exactly match the speakers in the Monoprice Premium 5.1 surround sound speaker set. I know this because I actually had what I thought was the correct one in my shopping cart only to find out it was the wrong set just before pulling the trigger. So it's an easy mistake to make even when you've done a bunch of research. I hope you enjoy your system. They are absolutely amazing speakers. My family is constantly amazed at how much information and nuance is embedded in soundtracks of our favorite movies and shows that we never heard with our previous home theater system. Question:	What is the crossover range?? Thanks
Answer:	If the cracks are VERY fine, the grout pen may fill them, but this does not apply to silicon grouting, which is generally used to seal the line between counter top and wall. The grout pen is meant for mortar grout.
Question:	can the psw111 surport 220V power
Answer:	Good question. For most grouts it is permanent. However some customers try it on "sealed" grout and it is not able to adhere with the grout, therefore it is temporary.
Question:	I need instruction on how i hook up my polk psw111 8" subwoofer to my yamaha r-n602 reciever. please
Answer:	This product will cover but to me it is just a temp fix if you wash the area often
Question:	They don't have any pictures of the back. Is it powered
Answer:	It all depends on how many layers you apply, I did 3. I have used 4 pens for my kitchen which is roughly 12 by 18ft. Hope this helps
