Question:	What is the range of this speaker? If I walk away with my phone that’s connected to it how far away am I able to walk away
Answer:	I find it can be up to 15 feet, as long as there is a clear line between the speaker (i.e.- you are in your kitchen, its in the living room). Also, I have found that if you are doing cleaning around the house, if you start to have jumps in the sound, just move the speaker somewhere closer to you, as it is not needing to be plugged in to operate. I find that I only need to charge it every other week or so, just make sure that you don't have a slog of devices trying to connect simultaneously, as that can interfere with the connectivity.
Question:	Sound seems to only come from the front right side of the speaker. Is this normal

Answer:	Make sure that you set your phone's bluetooth connection to phone and not just media-only. Different steps for different devices, but on my Android phone, I hit the sprocket-looking icon and select the bluetooth device (in this case, the JBL) and turn on the "Call audio" option (Media audio is also set to on).

Answer:	The correct comparison for Charge 3 is the Megaboom. Boom 2 is far inferior but if you compare Charge 3 against Megaboom, then Megaboom is a clear winner, well imo. Both have the same specs on paper. Megaboom's drivers are a bit bigger, it can be connected with NFC, has less charging time, has longer warranty period. Charge 3 has a microphone and thats it. Answer:	Apart from an early 1980s vintage set of equalized Bose 901s, I've never been impressed with their sound. It's dull and boomy. JBL is cleaner. I use JBL monitors in my recording studio as reference speakers.

Answer:	I'm with JVF here...one of the reason I chose this model, is it doesn't. My current speaker does, and it half pi_ses me off, every time a call comes in, cuts the music out (then I fumble to turn off the BT on my phone so I can answer the call, without everyone within 100ft ease dropping). Question:	Is it loud enough to be heard on a boat
Answer:	If you're parked at a sandbar and place it on the dash you can hear it well outside the boat, that's how we use ours and it saves our boat battery. If you're cruising at low speed you can still hear it but its not that enjoyable, and at faster speeds the engine and wind noise will drown it out, hope that helps.

Question:	I just got this and i can not get this to connect to my jbl extreme.. i believe it is because the new connect button.. anybody else have this issue
Answer:	Here's the most likely solution (my comments copied from another website about the JBL Connect app). I finally figured out how to make the JBL Connect app work, so that it now plays in stereo mode through my two Flip 3 speakers (left channel comes out of one speaker and right channel comes out of the other speaker) with virtually no dropouts. The key is to connect ONLY ONE speaker when you make the initial Bluetooth pairing under your device's Settings (Apple iPad: Settings/Bluetooth in my case) otherwise Bluetooth continually tries to connect with the other speaker, causing interference and repeated dropouts. It may say that one of the speakers is "not connected" but just ignore that. The important thing is to NOT have both speakers connected under your device's Bluetooth settings. Only one speaker should appear as connected here, so do whatever it takes to disconnect second speaker from Bluetooth, or make it "disappear": turn the speaker's power off and then back on, turn the iPad's Bluetooth switch off and then on again, click on "Forget this device", etc. (and DO NOT RENAME either speaker—it causes problems with the Connect function.) Then, with only one speaker paired via Bluetooth (but both speakers turned on) press the Connect button on each speaker (the button with the bowtie-shaped icon) and wait for both speakers to connect to each other. The bluetooth-connected speaker takes over and sends out the signal to the other speaker via the Connect function. Once you have done this setup procedure you don't have to repeat it. You will only have to turn on your device's bluetooth, turn on both speakers and press both "Connect" buttons (in most cases you won't have to press the speaker's bluetooth button— one speaker should pair automatically to your iPad or other device via bluetooth, once you have done the initial pairing). If you experience any problems, simply turn the power off both speakers, and then back on again and press the Connect button on each speaker again. Doing it a second time always works if the first attempt is unsuccessful, (or if, sometime later after listening for a while, you hear any dropouts) but usually the first attempt works with no problem.

Answer:	We use ours for the pool. We leave it on the edge and it has been knocked in a few times and it’s still works great. But we don’t just let it float

Answer:	The JBL Flip 3 and Flip 4 had a 3.5mm jack, the Flip 5 does not. It is 16w total, each speaker can handle about 8 watts. It weighs about 1 pound. The Flip 3 was the best of the Flip series, Loud with lots of Bass, Long Battery life, microphone and 3.5mm inpui jack. Flip 4 were not as loud and did not threw off as much bass as the Flip 3 and had less battery life. The Flip 5 has less power/volume, less bass and the worst battery life and no 3.5mm input jack and no microphone, so you cant answer calls with the Flip 5. JBL has gone down the tubes! If you are looking for good, bass booming sound, get a Harmon Kardon Onyx-1, those were the best! But avoid the Onyx-2 to Onyx-5 they are awful.

The stylish Control 52 satellite loudspeaker produces superb high fidelity sound via a low-distortion 60 mm (2½in) driver, which features a secondary bucking magnet for high efficiency, rubber half roll surround for enhanced bass performance, 19 mm (0.75 in) copper clad aluminum wire voice coil on a vented Nomex former for high fidelity and reliability, and a copper-capped pole piece for more consistent impedance and extended high frequency response. The wall bracket allows each speaker to be angled up to 45° off-axis. The Control 52 works with 70/100V distributed lines and low impedance systems for terrific versatility.

Control 50S/T Subwoofer

The 150-Watt (600-Watt peak) Control 50S/T subwoofer contains a high-power, long-excursion, 200 mm (8 inch) driver which features an extremely robust high-mass cone for extended low frequency response, a 38 mm (1.5 in) 4-layer copper voice coil for high motor strength, an aluminum former for good transient response, and a rubber half roll surround for enhanced bass performance.

Control 50S/T Subwoofer (Rear)

A cover over the Control 50S/T terminal cup keeps wiring neat. The Control 50S/T is mono. The crossover network built into the subwoofer provides proper signal routing and four satellite output connectors allow connection of the wires for the four Control 52 satellite loudspeakers. A Loop Out connector is also provided on the subwoofer for looping the full-range input signal to other loudspeakers or to other subwoofer/satellite systems.

JBL Profesional C50PACK

Available as packaged system or as separate items, the Control 50 Series is extremely versatile system. The C50PACK system contains four Control 52 satellite speakers and one Control 50S/T subwoofer as an easy pre-designed system. For smaller floor spaces, the Control50S/T subwoofer can be utilized with two Control 52 satellites peakers. The Control 50 system is mono. Both the Control 50S/T and Control 52 can be intermixed in systems along with the Control 40 Series in-ceiling models.
