Do be aware that the limit of power output is voltage on this design; even at 18V, 16 ohm speakers will probably reduce it to closer to 5W or 6W per channel. I would suggest a design that's based on 8 to 16 ohm speakers,. not a 2 to 4 ohm speaker design. Now if you had four of those speakers you could wire in parallel, it would probably work fine (since that would then end up 4 ohms effective.)

Answer:	Hello Daniel, The impedance of the speaker is important but more important is the efficiency of the speaker system. If you have to turn up the volume to the point of clipping (distortion) then either you have in-efficient speakers or you are running out of power. Either case you will destroy the speakers and / or the amplifier due to overheating. Speakers and amplifiers do not like square waves, (clipping) only sign wave audio is acceptable to all three of you, Speakers, amplifiers and YOU. I have this fine little amplifier and I have been running a pair of 4 ohm speakers for almost a year now. I do make sure I do not overload the amplifier and I do check the heat sink for abnormal temperature. It will get warm but not HOT with normal volume. Don't forget, putting a badly clipped audio square waves is like putting pure DC to the speaker, this creates heat that has to be dissipated in the voice coil. Especially dangerous to tweeters. (high frequency drivers)

Question:	Did you guys just splice a USB wire and soldered it to this or did you use a 5v Power Adapter and spliced that? Need Power ideas for this amp
Answer:	Hi Javier, I used an Agilent 66332A power supply for one of the applications of this amplifier. All of the connections on this amp use solder, so I just had a few inches of wire soldered to the power connections and some test leads with spring clips from the power supply to the power wires of the amp. For another application, my co-worker just used one of the small USB wall power adapters that commonly comes with most phones and tablets these days and chopped up a micro-usb cable to solder to the power connections. As long as the cable you use is up to USB spec, it will have a red and black wire it in. Red being positive and black being negative.Please let me know if that helps out and will try to provide more info if I can.

Answer:	I wouldn't use it for pre-amp (amped again later, mixboard, recording). It's not balanced or regulated like other equipment wants. For making little speakers in shipping boxes with elmers glue and a spare usb cable, this is fantastic.
Question:	Could those who claim to have achieved loud volume from this help out with power supply and speaker specs? Would be much appreciated
Answer:	I guess this won't help you over a year later but, you need to make shure of 3 things, voltage and amperage of the power supply, and the sensitivity of the speaker. The ideal power supply for this would be a usb phone charger that outputs over 1A. As far as the rating to look for on a speaker, the wattage and impendance don't matter. The wattage is only useful in seeing if the speaker will catch on fire if I run full power from this amp, it does not indicate anything else. The impendance is usefull in two ways, to see how much wattage the amp will push, and to see if the amp will kill itself trying to drive these speakers. Neither one of these is useful here as you usually won't have less than 4 ohms impendance (what this amp is rated for) unless you specifically take multiple speakers and wire it that way, and 3 watts isn't going to blow any speaker unless it is made of wet toilet paper (even then it's iffy). The only thing you need to worry about is the sensitivity of the speaker, which is measured in db as the measured volume of the speaker at 1 meter away with 1 watt powering it, you can find good cheap, speakers that are rated around 90db. if you put this amp on a 90db rated speaker you should get about 95db out of it which is loud enough to cause permanant hearing damage. It is also the hardest rating to find because it is the least used, even though the ratings people use to guage loudness have nothing to do with being loud and this rating is what they are looking for. Answer:	those should be included in the kit.

Answer:	TDA 7377. Class AB with set gain. Recommend 12v switching power supply because 8-9 volt 5 amp power transformers are hard to come by. Higher voltage the chip gets hot. Recommend changing out the input capacitors ( the little white squares next to the chip.) but thats a challenge. My speakers don't like tubes and this little amp is just fine for my apartment. 30 watts is for 4 ohms speakers...mine are 6 so I get okay power. Recommend SKW 3.5mm cables for input.

Use Notes:

1. The speaker of each channel must be connected in strict accordance with the wiring diagram. If reverse the connection, will seriously reduce the sound efficiency.

2. The current ability of external power supply 5V port is within the limits of 100mA. Super-power use is strictly prohibited.

3. Increasing the power supply voltage appropriately and using relatively low impedance speakers, can be very effective to improve the output power.

4. We recommend for adequate power supply (the current must be large enough), otherwise it cannot give play to the power of amplifier and speaker.

5. Although the product is a digital amplifier, but there still will be heating phenomenon during the use, it is normal.

Question:	If using all channels, speakers and bass shaker are rated 50w, my safe bet would be 12v 16a
Answer:	If your speaker+bass shaker load comes to 4 Ohms, TPA3116 powered by 12V can only cleanly (1% THD) push about 15 Watts per channel before an abrupt jump into high distortion. Feeding an 8 Ohm load while powered by 12V jumps to high distortion after only about 8 Watts per channel. In either case most of your available 16A current potential is wasted. Use an inexpensive DC-DC converter to boost your power supply's 12V output to 20V or so. That will allow TPA3116 to operate into higher power levels before distortion dramatically rises. Select a boost converter rated for at least 6A output or more.
Question:	I need a mini amplifier with bluetooth 25w / ch. but exactly the very small size to fit inside a socket box. Anything to indicate to me
Answer:	This amp has the power but no blue tooth built in, if physical size is the controlling criteria, I would look to SVS, as a first stop. They may be able to direct you to a 3rd party supplier? I have several devices from them that work well. Best of luck, jerzil.
Question:	Can you provide a drawing showing the center heights of the input audio jack and volume pot
Answer:	I would take out my calipers and measure it for you but the better method woould be to buy a male or female jack and gauge your measrurements on scribed marks on a flat surface. The volume pot height is 1/2 of the standing off the plane of the pc board. Hope that help, jerzil.
Question:	Does this need a external crossover, and if it does it go before or after the amp
Answer:	Boss, Usually crossover networks go after the amp. The need for a crossover usually depends on what you want to do with it. My advice is use the unit stock and see if you like the results before spending more on gadgets. Mike

After a successful connection, the phone will show that the module Xpecial audio has been connected, while the LED blinks blue.

Question:	Can i power this with a 7.4 volt lithium battery
Answer:	If you use the correct step down module yes. There are quite a few DC to DC converters that should work. I use a 12V to 5V step down in my car to run this thing.
Question:	What version of Bluetooth does this support
Answer:	this appears to be a bluetooth v2.1 device, but it should work with any BT device.
Question:	Does it have any feedback noise when connected to the same power supply
Answer:	I just purchased it and it does have serious feedback noise in that situation while charging/powered . I have a 12v 7ah SLA battery for power . Had to order a MPow noise suppressor , hope it works . Costs $9 so add that to BT board for total $19 . Not sure if it is worth that . Mpow has a unit with built-in battery included for less .

Answer:	Nope, as long as there is nothing in the AUX input it will be in Bluetooth mode. You need to pair it from your device.

Answer:	Yes it can just do not plug in an auxiliary because it will reset the whole thing basically and then you have to how go through the whole Bluetooth process setup again so just leave it on bluetooth

Answer:	well it depends on what you mean by "two of these hooked up together". Firstly having two of these amps would need two power inputs and two audio inputs. Powering isn't the issue as you'd have two separate adapters for that. For audio inputs using Bluetooth you can't connect your source (phone or laptop) to two different amps via bluetooth at the same time. But you can use a 3.5 mm Audio jack splitter to connect to both amps. Or if you have to power 4 speakers through one amp you can just connect 2 speakers to each of the right and left channels of the amp. I hope that answers the question
