Question:	Will this work with denon avr 2112ci receiver
Answer:	Yes you can. I only use 2 channel receivers. Not into cinema and avr receivers. I use an external audio source selector. Available on Amazon. Mine handles 3 sources. But selectors with more source inputs are available. I run my sources to the inputs on the selector. Then run the single output to the auxiliary input or in the case of newer receivers, input 1,2 or 3. For my application it works very well. Technically you can connect this eq to your Denon or any other receiver without the in out loop.
Question:	what would cause this to make an awfull hissing sound ? right now its useless
Answer:	Trying to diagnose sound equipment is not always easy. A hum usually means a bad ground. A his could be a lose connection or a bad cable. First see if the noise is on both sides or just one. Single side noise try changing a cable from the left to the right to see if the hiss changes sides. If it does change does change out the cable. If the his stays then you have a speaker problem. If the his is on both sides check your ground. Hope this helps.

How Does it Work?

Imagine the frequency range of the sound you hear as a highway, a very wide one with nine lanes. Each of these "lanes" represents a single octave of the sonic spectrum. The first four lanes, labeled 63 - 500 (Hz) contain the really low frequency sound content, mainly bass, bass vocals, and the kick and tom drums. The three lanes labeled 1 k, 2 k and 4 k (Hz), make up the fundamental zone of most musical instruments and the male and female vocals. 8 k and 16 k cover the frequency range of cymbals, snare drums and higher pitched percussion instruments. The FBQ800 allows you to control the flow of audio traffic in each of these nine lanes. When properly applied, EQ makes it possible to hear all of these frequency ranges equally, thus the term equalization.

Feedback Elimination

When a specific frequency, or range of frequencies, reaches too high a level, feedback occurs--that all-too-familiar squeal or howl you get when the mic is too close to the speaker. Basically, feedback happens when there is so much of a particular frequency that it is picked up by the mic and run through the system again. That's why feedback typically gets louder and louder the longer it's allowed to occur. Needless to say, this kind of feedback is very undesirable.

This is where the FBQ800's Feedback Detection System really works its magic. In this ingenious circuitry, LEDs on the individual faders light up when that frequency band is approaching the danger zone. All you need do is lower the illuminated slider until the LED blinks out--voilá, feedback problem solved! What once required a highly trained ear is now an activity that even a child can master.

Sonic Toolkit

That really is the best way to describe the FBQ800. With its nine frequency bands, you easily fine-tune your sound and instantly eliminate feedback. And each fader can be used to boost or cut the frequency range it controls by as much as 12 dB (and that's a lot!).

Special attention is paid to the low frequency zone. In addition to low frequency faders, the FBQ800 features a Low Cut filter for removing unwanted low frequencies such as fl oor rumble, room resonance, electrical hum, etc. This is especially handy if your system is being used for speech rather than music.

To Boost or to Cut, That is the Question

Raising and lowering specific frequency bands can improve the frequency response of any room's acoustics. For instance, if the room you're in is "bass-heavy," lowering the 63 and 125 Hz faders can help eliminate an overall "boomy" or "muddy" sound. Likewise, gently boosting the 8 and 16 k sliders can add sparkle to a somewhat "dark" mix. Are the vocals getting lost in the mix? Raising the level of the 1 k slider can help bring them out.

It's important to note that raising a single fader level is not always the best solution; it's often better to lower the bands surrounding the frequency you want to bring out, and then boost the overall volume level to achieve better headroom.

Answer:	You could but you'd need a 12v power supply to turn it on. Just look for the 110v version

Answer:	I use it in front of my amps. Although it does increase power from around 2 volts up to 6 volts. I just keep the gain turned down on my amp. Sound quality is amazing tho.

Answer:	Hi Steve. I looked up the Onkyo 737 so I could answer your question intelligently. I need to know how you want to use the EQ before I an give you a good answer. You could use the Zone 2 output to feed the EQ input and then connect the EQ output to another source input, say if you own a tape deck and you want to equalize the response, but I do not see the traditional "tape loop" that would enable you to equalize the front two channels irregardless of which source you pick. So the simple answer is no you can't use it effectively. Sorry.

Answer:	RCA is unbalanced, meaning its susceptible to noise problems. XLR (and 1/4 trs - not 1/4 tr) are balanced, and more immune to noise problems picked up in interconnecting audio equipment. Balanced connections use shielded, twisted-pair cable and three-conductor connectors (like XLR or TRS connectors). This noise cancellation is called “Common Mode Rejection.” It's also good for long cable runs. And so XLR and TRS cables are used to transmit balanced audio from one balanced device to another. In an audio rack you might be tempted to use an inexpensive cable like RCA because the cable runs are short. That's your choice, but the professionals use XLR cables for the cleanest sound they can engineer.

Answer:	Any ears can be cut off, but I would be very careful. If you damage the corners, the integrity of the cabinet is gone.

Answer:	At 19" wide and several inches deep, requiring a/c power, I can't envision a situation where it would be practical to use this product in a car. Also, electrical noise from car electronics would be a factor.

Question:	does this item works with a Turntable because I have one and I cant seem to get it to work
Answer:	This unit requires a compatible amp : receiver with Inputs and outputs to and from equalizer to amp. Basically you are running signal out of amp thru Equalizer and back into amp. Turntable should go into phono jack in amp, receiver. Very few new Receivers are able to accept equalizers. Older ones from the 1970’s are good. I had to buy a Yamaha R-S 700 receiver so everything would work. Contact me with any other questions. Good luck Michael

Question:	Need instructions on wiring it all together
Answer:	1) 'Source' to EQ 'line in'. 2) EQ line out to receiver or amp. note: if multiple sources ie DVD, TV, B/T etc use a source switch for 'Source'. (like the TC-7240 4-way stereo lin router.)
Question:	Can you run a cd player through this eq
Answer:	Yes, but you will need an amp or receiver to power the output to make it audible...two ways to do it: 1) run the output from the CD player to the input of the Equalizer, and then the output from the equalizer to the amplifier/receiver - only the CD source will be "equalized" 2) run the output from the CD into the tape monitor input and then hook the tape monitor output to tape monitor input on an older style receiver (has to have tape monitor switch) , now all inputs to the amplifier /receiver will be "equalized"
