Answer:	This is a 1960's replica. In the 60's the radios didn't have digital tuning. You just scrolled (turn the knob) along the printed numerous until you were at the desired station. The closer you got to the station, the better the reception was.

Answer:	The adapter is for running from an AC adapter - it does not recharge batteries in the radio. Batteries last quite a while. I use the radio about 30-40 minutes a day, radio 80-90%, the rest bluetooth. With that usage pattern, D cells last for months. Around the holidays I switched to rechargeable AA Sanyo Eneloops with D spacers, they last about 4-6 weeks between recharges, so that's a reasonable option if you'd prefer to recharge.

Answer:	Unfortunately you cannot see the hands in a dark room - which is why I ordered it. It is, however, a beautiful color and a lovely color.

Answer:	The mic is very good as well as the sound of the incoming caller. Has a good range as well.

Answer:	Don't buy from this seller. If you leave less than 100% positive feedback they will continuously send you emails offering money to change your review. They have been doing this for almost a year now spamming me with email. I've contacted Amazon about this, but nothing has been done.
