| Answer: | I have the Ultra mobel w/ behind the ear phonrs. (I can no longer drive the distance to my HA audiologist, & lost one, & he suggested the Pocketalker as a temporary solution. It works better than the hearins aids did!) As to cocleag implants, I suggest consult w/ a GOOG audiologist (not 1 w/ agenda of selling you their brand of hearing aids). There are some bone contact hearing devices that might be better for you, but am not sure. My hearing required the best HAs available at the ime (8 yrs ago), and coclear was the next step. But the "Talker" works really well for me. The mic works best at 8-10 inched, DIRECTLY pointed at the sound source, with more distant sounds not well heard by me. | Answer: | Great question - if the headphones she uses for the TV & CDs are not causing feedback (high-pitch squealing), then the headphones on the Pocketalker 2.0 should not either. The Pocketalker 2.0 is designed to amplify: 1) conversations near the microphone - an extendable microphone is included for when someone is sitting across a room or for the television and 2) the t-coil setting allows any person using a microphone in a looped room to have the microphone audio to go directly into the headphones.
