Turn off everything else around me to make my surroundings as quiet as possible, turn the volume on my phone all the way up and listen for the sound while searching for the bud... This usually works. |

| Answer: | WARNING: Ignore the people saying they've had 5+ pairs. They are talking about the not non-flatwire 1.0s which have been sold for years. The new flatwire 2.0s are much more reliable from a durability stand point and have only been around maybe 2 years (not long enough to have 5+ pairs). I like the sound of these buds and have been using them exclusively for a few years (I use high end cans for my home use). The old 1.0s did not have a flat wire and were in production up until around the beginning of 2013. Those ones would either have a bud speaker blow out or wire disconnect after about 6 months of use. My most recent pair of flatwire 2.0 buds however, lasted almost 2 years. At the average price of about $15 and given the very adequate sound (comparing earbuds here) at the low pricepoint makes these a very buyable pair of headphones. They won't last forever, and aren't indestructable, but they hold up well and are much better design than the old models. |
