Answer:	I recommend starting by setting the brightness setting. I use the dimmest setting. With the light off, press down firmly (not just tap) on the surface for 3 seconds. Release your finger when the LEDs light up. Then, tap on the surface to select the brightness level that you would like. Confirm this setting by pressiing down firmly for 3 seconds. The device will now turn off. To use the device, tap it once for the 8 minute setting, and the LEDs will get brighter and dimmer. Enjoy!

Answer:	Hi, Yes it's true, an intense blue light can interfere with Melatonin production. That said, Dodow's halo is not bright enough and too dim to have such an impact on your body functions ! Its brightness is far less intense than the light of a pc or a mobile phone screen. We had tested different prototypes on potential users before launching Dodow, mostly in orange 590 nm, 601 nm…) and blue (465 nm, 470 nm…). We had obtained the best results with the color Cyan (465 nm). That's why we chose blue over warmer colors.
Question:	How far will it pick up
Answer:	Based on our use of the pad, I think so. We use ambient music for sleep, and the pad occasionally detects some periods of snoring. This isn't the main reason we got the Nokia Sleep, rather, we have been trying to cure some sleeplessness, but it should work for snoring issues, too. It seems to be pretty sensitive, detecting a nap, and distinguishing between light and deep sleep periods.

Answer:	It shows 3 phases: light sleep, deep sleep and awake... Tracks movements too. And of course shows total time asleep. Don't think it can detect bathroom visits though...:)

Answer:	I think you can log the fact that you swam and enter the start and end manually, but no stroke or lap counts. They also claim that MOVEIQ will figure out that you are swimming and log it, but I'm not sure if that works well. If you want lap tracking, try the Polar 370, the Misfit Shine 2 or maybe the Fitbit Flex 2. Otherwise you have to move up to the fancy smart watches. Misfit worked with Speedo when the built the Shine 2, so all of their smart watches have optional lap counting. Its getting hard to find trackers that count laps without getting into the fancy stuff because the Flex 2 and the Shine 2 have been discontinued.

Answer:	Not really. Very iffy for sleep tracking compared to fitbit but hey, I don’t have to charge it every other day. I did not find any real value in the sleep tracking function although I wanted to. I felt the battery change every 9 to 12 months was far more valuable.

Answer:	I would not leave it laying around if you have children who are prone to stuffing everything in their mouths. If one side of the band comes off, that could get swallowed. If you use a belt clip, a hungry child or pet could probably swallow it whole. But it doesn't have sharp edges, so everything will come out all right - in the end.

Answer:	Yes, it's a little bar that can toggle from rearward to frontward - not the best as an arrow rest but workable.

Answer:	That’s pretty low so I’d say not at 10 pounds. It comes set very nice and can bury an arrow at 10 and 15 yards with minimal effort.

Answer:	just a bow target. we used a bale of hay at first, but bought an actual Styrofoam type target block because they are easier to move and extract the bows from. lots of fun and we've had ages 6-72 using the same bow (including some pretty beefy manly men) the only issue some of the bigger guys have had was that they had to not fully extend their draw because the bow wasn't big enough - but they are over 6'2" and they still got great shots without a full extend. several people with injuries that cause bow hunting to hurt them have commented that it hurts them but only to the level of mild discomfort and they still enjoy it. the kids have had absolutely no trouble with it... typical warriors who adapt well without complaint.we bought extra arrows, but haven't even needed them yet (they are surprisingly hard to find in Bermuda grass though!) but we've been persistent about hunting them down even when it takes a while.

Answer:	The kit comes with NASP-standard Genesis 1820 30" alloy arrows (made by Easton Archery). They are very fine arrows :-). You can get those at Dick's Sporting Goods, usually (they don't seem to be in stock via Amazon right now). But any good target arrow of 30" would be fine.

Answer:	You'll want to buy a HRM strap from Garmin if you want the more advanced running analytics. The TRI Strap works with swimming and running, and will provide vertical oscillation and other stats to you.
Question:	Hello when will this watch be coming out? i know i read 5 to 6 weeks, but can you please provide a real date. i want it before april 1st
Answer:	I ordered on January 13 and haven't heard anything about shipping. So I reached out to Garmin customer service today and they said it will be another 2-3 weeks for the 5S Sapphire. I'm not sure how folks are receiving theirs already if Garmin told me today that it hasn't been released yet...... I know that people who ordered the Fenix 5S (non Sapphire) already received them and they are even in stores already, so maybe that is what people have actually received.

Answer:	I have the Fenix 5S. The Wrist HR seems good when I am not active; like at my desk at work, sitting around the house, etc. But when I hit the gym and I am gasping for air, my wrist HR at times will record #'s in the 50's/60's. Impossible when I am working near my threshold. I don't have this issue when I put my chest strap on. This seems to be a consistent trend regardless of which Garmin wrist wearable I wear; I have several.

Answer:	Mine won't. I have to tap it to wake it up then scroll to get to the heart rate screen each time. However, I'm still learning about all of the things it will do.

Answer:	They are all s/m except the black has two options, one s/m and one L.

Answer:	It is suppose to track flights of stairs. Had a replacement because the first one did not. The new one was only slightly better. Counted 3 out of 6 flights of stairs. Was almost better at counting descending flights.
Question:	Has anyone compared the spo2 oximeter readings with another oximeter to see if they are accurate? My readings seem to be off
Answer:	I’ve compared it with a pulse oximeter on the same hand. Took a reading following instructions (stay still, arm raised at heart level). If worn the traditional way, the spo2 reading is off by 3% (a 98% on pulse ox will read 95% on the Garmin) consistently for me. If worn the way they recommend (further above the arm) for a sp02 reading, it is accurate and matches an oximeter.

Question:	Does it monitor sleep? Can you see a report on an android phone
Answer:	You have to tell the watch your normal sleep hours. The watch will assume you are asleep during these hours, and that steps taken are something like a bathroom break. The answers that say the Garmin detects them asleep even though they are shaving have obviously lied about their sleeping hours. Just set your sleep hours to a minimum. Say you go to bed between 10 pm and 12 pm, and rise between 5 am and 10 am. Set your sleep hours from 12 pm to 5 am. If you get out of bed during these hours, Garmin will count it as sleepwalking. If you are motionless before or after these hours, Garmin will count the inactivity as part of your sleep.
Question:	is hr displayed continiously
Answer:	The HR is being monitored continuously. It an be accessed in 1 of 2 ways. You can swipe the bar until you get to the HR display or set it as the default screen; otherwise, the default screen is the Time display. You can change the settings online through the Garmin Connect (online or the app).
Question:	Is this waterproof? Able to be worn in the shower
Answer:	From the Garmin manual, it is water-resistant to 50 meters, about 150 feet deep. So yes, you can wear it in the shower.

Answer:	Good Compass but not great Hold down on one of the buttons and the watch face becomes a compass. It shows the degrees (0-360) and the general direction (SE for example). You would not use this watch to plot a course on a map. For that, you can buy a compass for less than $20 that lie flat on a map, can be adjusted for a magnetic correction, they have lines, etc.

Question:	Can this device be used as a gps without an active satellite subscription
Answer:	Yes it can. Without a subscription the inReach Explorer+ has a 24k scale topo map of North America built-in and the ability to navigate using its compass, barometric altimiter, and accelerometer. But why would you pay $450 for these features when Garmin and other companies give them to you for much less in other devices. The significant reason to buy the inReach is its satillite communication features, including GEOS Search and Rescue response. Please note, if you don't have an active subscription you CAN'T TURN IN ON from the trail. If you get into an emergency situation you won't have satellite access. Therefor you can't get an SOS through. You can't send an email to DeLorme (now Garmin) to turn it on. You're isolated from the outside world even though the device has the features you need. Without the active subscription they won't work. Because of this, I choose to subscribe to the ANNUAL plan which is always active. The cheapest version is under $15 / month including taxes. That way I'm always assured of communications even if I break down on the Interstate outside of cell phone range. Their other FREEDOM plan is a bit more expensive but allowes you to turn the subscription on or off on a monthly basis. This seems like a great option if you only hike during the Summer months. But don't look to it when you slide off the road in January and you have no active service.
Question:	Does it cost when you receive messages or is it included in the plan
Answer:	You are charged for messages sent and also messages received. You also pay for tracking points (your location) sent to your online map for friends to follow you. What you are charged depends on the level of service you choose and the subscription plan you have. The basic SAFETY level at $11.95 (Annual Contract plan) or $14.95 (Freedom plan - no contract) each month. It gets you 10 messages and no tracking points. Additional messages are $0.50 each. Tracking points are $0.10 each. The RECREATION level has unlimited messages and tracking points and costs $49.95 or $64.95 each month depending on your plan.

Answer:	Yes, a subscription to GEOS (the same search and rescue service offered with a SPOT) is included with the monthly fee.
Question:	If the Iridium service is suspended, does this device become a paperweight like the Explorer, locking you out of the gps, tracks, msg history, etc
Answer:	Iridium is used for two functions, messaging and track updates to your MapShare page. The GPS features are self contained, like other Garmin units. So without the satellites you still have your exact location on a 24k scale map, digital compass, track log on the InReach for easy return via the same route, pre-loaded waypoints and routes for navigation, and the ability to connect to a Smarphone where you may have pre-downloaded additional maps, such as color satellite views. What you lose if satellites are down (which they never are) is connectivity with the outside world through messages and track reporting to your MapShare site. Think of it this way. If you had a GPS app on your phone and the cell service went down you still could see where you are on your app but you couldn't text home.
