Answer:	there is no need for a SIM card. you activate the device online and it starts tracking within 15 minutes. It works on a PC/laptop and has more functionality from a computer vs. a phone. go to https://www.landairsea.com . This site is where you can manage your account. You can download the app called "silvercloud" for your phone.
Question:	Is there a monthly fee and the cost of different plans
Answer:	As of January 2021, it costs me approximately $15. a month, to ping the device every 3 minutes. Works very well for me! There are other plans; this is the cheapest one.

Answer:	Dear Kein D.Great question! No. This is NOT a cell phone controlled GPS tracker. Good news is that there is no monthly fee for the SIM card BUT you can't track/see the location in real time. As a PI I need something that will NOT be detected by a RF scanner which a cell phone based tracker would be. Down side is that I have to place and recover it. The laws of Texas require that the person who owns the vehicle is the only person that can authorize me to place the tracker. It has a great battery and a powerful magnet. I don't like the flashing LED it has on it, but a piece of electrical tape takes care of that. I put it in a freezer baggie just in case they take it through an undercarriage car wash. Remember: This is NOT TV land. Any tracker is dependent upon the internal battery. The Cell phone/SIM Card trackers will eat up the battery 50 times faster than this does. Hope this helps.

Answer:	This does not require monthly fees. It is a passive tracker, which mean it is not real time. It records all the movememts then you plug it into ypur computer to see all the info it recorded. I recommend it cause it does pretty decent job for my intended purpose.
