Answer:	I do not know specifically about a garmin drive 51. What I do know is that I have large garmin, I believe a 6" screen and an old i4 cell phone and both work in the mount. I did have to make a wedge to mount it on because the slope of my dash cause it to point upward with the glare I could not see it.

Answer:	Yes it should. The iPhone 5 is listed at 2.31 inches wide and this mount is listed as supporting phones from 2.3 inches wide so it should fit fine. There are two small feet at the bottom of the mount to keep your phone from sliding through as well. It is a very nice phone mount, one of the best I've ever used in a decade. The suction pad holds extremely well and fastens to the front plate of a pro-clip nicely for a great pro installation.

Answer:	So many of these reviews are paid/fake endorsements. Click the reviewer and read their other reviews. So sad reviews are becoming useless. Read the 1 and 2 star reviews from real people.

Answer:	I have an otter case and a pop socket and it’s too thick for it to stay on. Had to return. Without the pop socket it’d be a fantastic product that’d hold my phone.

Answer:	Bought this for my daughter January 2017. (Wisconsin). She loves it. However it broke after 18 months. She wants another and I’ll be ordering the newest version for her. She uses it with an iPhone 8 Plus with a case that holds 4-5 credit card-type cards. So it’s bulky, yet I t held the phone securely. So I think it is worth $25. I’m hoping that whatever broke has been improved. But even if it didn’t, if it lasts another 18 months she’ll be happy. She has a 2016 CRV and she placed the pad on the flat surface in front of the secondary screen.

Answer:	If your windshield is cold, heat up your car first. Also add a bit of dampness to the suction cup (licking it works if you're daring haha) and make sure you push the suction cup onto the windshield before pushing the lever down to complete the suction.

Answer:	You should not have a problem with heat slowing the phone down. I had that happen to me once and I'm a field tech. I also point the vents at the roof of my car which evenly distributes the air and diverts away from the phone. These big mounts usually prevent the phone from getting too hot too. However, I'm in TX and I can't use a windshield mount. The mount will melt right off the suction cup in a matter of several months and I'm stuck buying another one.

Answer:	Those grippers on the sides spread quite wide. It holds my iPhone6 in a Mophie battery case just fine. It is the first holder I've found that fits my iPhone6 inside of a Mophie battery case, and holds it snugly while driving. iPhone5 is about the same size as a 6, as I recall. I'm going to guess 99% chance you'll be happy with it.

Answer:	If your vents are flat, and not curved horizontally, it should work. I have no idea if it will actually work or not, because I do not know the measurements of your specific vehicle. I can tell you it's a good product, worth the money. I'm using it on a 2013 Toyota Sequoia.

Answer:	The mount is the ball. It connects to the back of the device.
