Answer:	I text with my Verizon Message+ app, and it integrates seamlessly with my Galaxy Note phone (w any carrier I would imagine). My 7 email accounts also integrate instantly and seamlessly on phone, tablet, lap and desktop. But the biggest reason I bought this tablet is for the SwiftKey word processing app, as it auto-corrects, auto-punctuates, and adds the proper accent marks in all the languages I use (you can install up to 5 languages, but it will give translations and spellings for many, many more). This makes the tablet worth its weight in gold to me, as this is the holy grail I have been longing for these many years. I write usually a thousand words a day, and have been frustrated w MS Word for years b/c of its weak spelling, punctuation, and language capabilities. So I have been writing w SwiftKey on my dinky phone screen, only able to see about 10 words at a time b/c of the on-screen keyboard hogging all the space, for years now, and buying tablet after tablet wishing to have more screen real estate, and being disappointed until now. You need to use a mini-Bluetooth keyboard to be able to type that much on the tablet. I also use the tablet in portrait view for writing, which requires a different case, a Fintie case, or a holder. I use the stylus all the time, mainly in order not to get smudges on the screen, or for more precision in mousing, but not for drawing or writing. Well, Microsoft bought the SwiftKey app, but stupidly, imo, have not integrated it into MS Word, but fortunately, at least it is in this tablet. (I have no knowledge if it works in other tablets, I only know that I have bought many previous tablets hoping to get SwiftKey w them, and it was always disabled on all of them.) That is why I am so happy and thrilled with this tablet. I hope this helps someone who is also looking for the ability to have better word processing and language features, like I was for many years.

Answer:	I just purchased the latest version Amazon Fire (12/2020), 10th Generation, and the Amazon technical team has cut so many corners from the previous version that the present version is shamelessly inadequate, and I believe it was planned to prevent any content other than Amazon from being loaded onto either its micro SD card or a USB drive. They did this by using a 20-year old file allocation table (FAT32) they knew would be obsolete, thus limiting the maximum file size to 4 gigabytes. This would prevent all movies and videos larger than 4 gbytes (which would be most of them) from being loaded onto its considerable memory size. But in doing this, Amazon also prevented people with Amazon content (such as long movies such as THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, and GODFATHER II (to name just a few) from being downloaded onto their devices, because their compressed file sizes exceed 4 gbytes. This means, at least for now, that I can't recommend this Kindle Fire as it has some fairly serious health problems -- problems that would be akin to removing half a lung and calling it an improvement! And not only does your internal micro SD Card have to be formatted to that miserable FAT32, the technical team also has changed its operating system so that if you plugged a USB thumb drive into the Kindle Fire, it also now has to be formatted to that archaic FAT32 or your files can't be transmitted to your device! The Kindle Fire claims to be "30 percent faster" (it's really not based on my what I can see) and increasing the capacity of its micro SD Card from a maximum of 256 gbytes to 512 gbytes, Amazon took a giant step backward by limiting it to that abysmal FAT32. And the fact that it keeps users from uploading movies they've converted from from Blu-Ray and want to store on their devices is despicable. The bottom line, folks, is that you're being bamboozled. The new 10th generation Kindle Fire isn't improved at all, but has been degraded, and if you can find an earlier model (like I did), jump on them because they are far superior to the Kindle Fire Amazon is trying to palm off you now. Why? Because they not only read and write to that obsolete FAT32, but to the FREE and far superior exFAT that's found on virtually all USB and micro/standard SD Cards. And if you let Amazon get away with this, well, don't. Don't let them do it. Call or write and complain! Get the word out. Amazon listens to its customers, and you can call their help desks or leave messages here. Don't buy the present devices. I understand why Amazon wants to stop content other than its own, but Amazon has gone too far! I can't even use my USB thumb drives with data because who the hell uses FAT32? I plug it in to this Kindle Fire and it immediately wants to reformat it to FAT32! And why the {expletive} would I want to do that? It went out with the Neanderthals. New screen 1920x1200 high resolution, new CPU running at 2Ghz with 2Gb memory making it much faster, Sd Card up to 512GB, USB C fast charge, Dolby Digital Stereo which is not only loud and clear, it sounds awesome. You can look up my review of the new Amazon Kindle 10 HD, which talks more deeply about the difference between new and previous version. I wrote it because I own both devices and made the decision that someone should compare both devices to see if its worth to upgrade. To me, it was a easy decision. You getting a lot for it's price. It is hard to find another tablet coming even close to Amazon Kindle Fire 10 HD at its price. I think the upgrade is well worth it.

Answer:	I have the 7th generation hd 10 and yes I was able to get the Google play store on it, and so far most apps from the play store work like if it were an Android tablet. There are YouTube videos that show you how to get the play store on the kindle, it's an easy process that takes maybe 5-15 minutes.

Answer:	No, there isn't a light built into the case like the ones for the regular Kindles in the past. The tablet doesn't need a case light though as the LCD screen on this tablet is back-lit itself. It's harder to read on it in bright outdoor conditions, but it's easier to see inside and in the dark. That's one of the trade-offs of back-lit color LCD vs E-Ink displays.
