| Answer: | As for the time a Kindle holds a charge, my Kindle normally holds charge for about 6-9 hours. When I watch movies or play games, my Kindle loses charge more rapidly and can discharge in 4 hours or less. But, with normal internet usage, the charge lasts longer. The Amazon charger seems to charge my battery faster than other chargers. But, it does not make my Kindle's charge last longer. |

| Answer: | The 5W charger delivers 1 Amp of electricity, whilst the 9W charger delivers 1.8 Amps of electricity. With devices that have rechargeable battery's like this I tend to just use the 5W charger because it puts a lot less stress on the battery, and ultimately a lot less heat is generated from the battery (which may be a sign of overcharging, which can damage your battery as you charge it like this again and again). If you are okay with your device charging faster at the expense of a couple years off its lifespan, then go ahead. This is all ultimately the costumers decision. However I would recommend this charger for the echo dot, because it does not have a battery to overcharge and you can generally expect better performance when the echo is running off a 1.8 Amp charger than a 1 Amp charger. |

| Answer: | My battery last a very long time. I keep my Oasis in airplane mode, except to sync or download, Bluetooth off, and I went to settings and turned on the inverted/dark mode which increased my battery life substantially. I read everyday on it for about 2 hours and I do not have to charge my Oasis except about every 1 and 1/2 to 2 weeks. However, I usually charge it every week even though it still may be at 30-40%. Charges fast as well. Believe me using the dark mode makes a huge difference! |

| Answer: | Simply put its the extra features and premium build. The page turn buttons (has both buttons and touchscreen) and 7” screen that you mentioned. The all aluminum and glass construction vs Paperwhite is all plastic is a big cost reason I think. The original ergonomic design that makes the bigger 7” screen model lighter weight than the Paperwhite. 25 LED lights vs Paperwhite has 5. Warm lights in addition to regular lights for color temperature control at night. Ability to set auto-adjust on the lighting, so that it adjusts brightness to surrounding lighting automatically. These are all wonderful features to have, but depending on how much a person reads and their budget, may not be worth the extra money for some. I am fortunate to have both this Oasis and a Paperwhite - and tend to use my Paperwhite more overall. It’s the one I don’t mind throwing in my purse on the way out the door, the smaller, less expensive one to travel with, and the one I mostly use by the pool and at the beach ( although both are waterproof). I guess I tend to protect the Oasis more as it was more of an investment. It is very enjoyable to read with, especially at night with the warm lighting. Whether you really need/want one over the Paperwhite is up to you 🙂 |

| Answer: | Mine did, after 3 months. I let the battery run down and it went into a boot loop (seems to have happened to others). It's a shame to - I really liked it. It has a nice feel and look and I loved the expandable memory. Have a 512 GB micro SD card with offline Wikipedia. This left a bad taste in my mouth. |
