Question: Is it compatible with and iPad Air
Answer: Based on the specs, iPad Air width is 6.6 inches and the expandable bracket maximum length for this holder is 7.48 inches. I usually use it with an iPhone 11 Pro Max but I did a test with my daughter's iPad Mini 2 and I was able to install it on the holder by width and by height and there was a lot of room for a bigger device. iPad Mini 2 size: Height 7.9 inches x Width 5.30 inches. It should perfectly fit an iPad Air.
Question: Can you use your tablet on this? Not just watch something, actually tap and it wont move
Answer: It's far from perfect in that regard. I use it with a 10" Fire Tablet. There's no much more tightening of the joints that I can do to make is stiffer. As expected, when the tablet's center of gravity is too far forward, say about 3 or 4 more inches than shown in the illustration at left (assuming you see what I see), it will start to move down. Moving it back so that the tablet is just over the mounting clamp, results in a more stable position. You can rotate it for portrait or landscape mode, but to do that, you really need to loosen, rotate, and then retighten. I think this can be easily returned if it doesn't work out, but check that first.

Answer: I have not tried using ice with this lid. Depending on the size of the ice cubes, it will probably be okay. Question: does this have a way to attach to the surface that the base will stand on
Answer: My 2 and 5 year old have trouble with this water bottle. I have the 30oz (?) model and it’s heavy and large/long/wide. Also ice cubes really inhibit them getting water out since they block the spout. I don’t know what the size difference between the 30 oz model and a smaller one is in terms of width and height but I would imagine it would still be on the heavy side. I Find the spout is large so you would have to watch them with it since a lot of water flows out at once. It is very durable though.

Answer: We have a couple iPad 7s in our home and would not use this stand for them. It’s a little small for them and we like having more support for them, so they do not mistakenly fall. I found a perfect iPad stand on Amazon for less than $10. This stand is not really made for a device that big. Any size iPhone would be suitable for this stand giving great support and fitting great on it. I’m really glad I got this stand.
