Answer:	There is a screw that extends from the flat portion - the holder. That needs to be attached first by screwing on, finger tight - the rounded adapter piece. I was able to simply screw it onto the back. The other piece that looks like a "U" or a "C" slides over the handlebar, is then pinched to put the end tabs together (looks like a tiny lightbulb) and it is screwed onto the end of the adapter. Screwing until tight.
